I was only remaining with a few MBs of data when i received a notification for this video. Instead of using my few MBs to video call my girlfriend, i decided to watch the video 😂😂🏃🏻♂️ thanks for your informative posts Dr. D🤝
I have only 30 chickens and use lots of kitchen leftovers incl banana / potatoe / advocado / etc. peels. Also leaves from different trees : Moringa, Lucina, Tamarind, papaya, cassava, etc. I boil them for 1 min - leave it cool down, then blender. Use rice bran @ USD 0.14/kg. Feeding costs about 1 dollar cent / chicken / day. Young chicks need a bit more protein so you have to be careful. Maybe give them some more fish/meat leftovers or mix 1 egg/day for 12 chicks - here very cheap (USD 0.12/egg).
If it is just 2-3 different feeds, you don't need to have a mixer. You just throw a can of A and 1 or 2 of B (Acc to the formula) into the feeder. The chickens will mix it.
Dear Doctor/Farm Up I will be much grateful if you could kindly assist me with the types of machines needed to enable me start my own feed and if possible recommend companies to purchase them from. May God continue to protect and bless you for all your support Best wishes, John
Thank you doctor Daniel this is very helpful. Because of you I will start my business in animal feeds. This video is important please don't delete it. Thanks again
Your growth is so tremendous am so impressed , l remember when Kenganda was interviewing you when u had 600 birds and noe uve over 20k plus cattle and goats ..
Doc, you can scale up in order to sell feed to other farmers as another income stream. I have some concern regarding the location of the Diesel engine. It is too close to the workers. Carbon monoxide exposure, daily, can affect them
Thanks Doc. I have really learnt a lot form you. I would really appreciate it if you can do a closeup video on the drum charcoal pot used for brooding. Thanks once more..
the way you give information is so precise and entertaining at the same time. Thank you for this video, love from Nepal. Hope to get more informative videos in the future.
Doc I have been following you since you started with 500 Birds and you have really become my mentor. I would like to know how you mix your chicken feeds , quantity required and ingredients, thanks
Dr Posho is a Ugandan word, those who don't know its maize flour he meant, which is to some called corn flour. In most of Africa and south America you make corn meal from the ground maize.
Very informative we will be glad if you can show us details about feed formulation,as it make up almost 70% of the poultry farming cost. Thank in anticipation
Do you have electricity@your farm? I am struggling with power on my farm and I thought you would advise me on this, I heard about changfa engeen but I am not sure, thank you Dr
Thank yoy Dr.Daniel for the inspirational lessons im sure i will get results soon from yr lessons tho i want to concetrate on local breeds.God bless you
One important thing that was not said was whether the soya component was a full fat or low fat neither was it mentioned if it was gotten as cake or soya beans.
Am really excited when I watched your videos please what are those feeds AND ARE THEY FOR all birds like layers and broiler please I am inspired by you and I want to start organic farming like birds and cattles
@farm up Hello Farm Up I'm impressed with your way of working but I would like to know how much the poultry feed machine costs? Please answer it please🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I have small farm. 130 chickens. New Mexico. US. I'd love a Nigerian African man who has pass port and visa and ready to start a new free life together forever loving what I do and helping and being an equal partner and building up together. 😃😁. Sweet heart mind and soul. So hard to find men who love all this work. They are all sissies and afraid of animals . To build together is the way to go.
Informative video Dr. Daniel. Thank you. What do you do with the soya though, do you cook or roast it first, or just mill it, and add it to the mix? And do you use animal protein too such fish meal?
The scale was offset on purpose to allow for the weight of the bag. I don't understand why they dont have the bag on the end of the shute..., after awhile they would get very good at knowing how much the weight was and then they could just adjust it to the correct weight saving a huge amount of manuel labour. It also shouldn't be that difficult to make a hopper above the crusher to take an entire bag of grain instead of having to pick it up in bucket fulls..., this would free up 2 workers to do other things. Very minimal cost and huge time saving..., win win.
wow! i always envy you doc just in good faith, you being younger than me i feel i need to up my game remeber my always comment Kenyan subsidiary all waiting bro

Doc you have made it in poultry production, this is more inspiring..

It will be less laborious if the crusher is directly connected to the mixer. In that way you'll avoid carrying here and there
Your videos are inspirational. You are the reason behind our farm acquisition. Thank you Farm up.
