1:18:50 when you're programming up the solo and mute buttons, it's actually quicker to copy the first two you set up, paste them 8 times and just change the target colours. That way you don't have to remember to override the quantisation every time.

The start/stop button didn’t work correctly for me until I went into the metronome settings and turned on “pause clock when idle” 1:21:32

41:00 I would have built this the same way to using play but I found I was coming into lots of problems with in the first row of drums that I wanted to be separate from the rest of the clips. After exploring group options and color options I went back to one of the Lupe templates and realized that was using solo instead of play To switch between different scenes and that solved my problems.
Ahhhh! Yeah when you get into multiple commands, it can always get confusing.

I do have a question though;
Do you know how to configure an AUv3 drum with 'MIDI notes,' such as 'A01' for the Bass Drum, 'A02' for the Snare, and so on, for multiple drum pads (widgets) on a page? This approach would allow for direct pad play, flexible arrangement, and eliminate the need to open the AUv3 Drum interface. I'm aware it's achievable, but I've been unable to determine how to set it up.

Thanks JP this is really useful. One problem I had was when programming the start stop button it would only start stop if I had already started the main transport at the top whereas you were able to control that too, if that makes sense. Also, I was wondering if it’s possible to control multiple effects with one xy pad i.e program loopy to switch between them somehow. Many thanks for all you do! Dan
How do you get the mixer to show the colours in the same order as the vertical rows of loops? For example my first row of loops is red, but my first mixer channel is yellow. Red is somewhere in the middle? At 29:00 you brought up the mixer and it had automatically assigned the colours as in the sequence of rows. Red to purple. For me they are all over the place?
Ahhh that’s a good question. I literally picked them. So go into editing the page like your adding loops or buttons, go to the paint page and just change them to your liking. 👌
@@JohnPaulMusicUK I tried that, and it was still all random and different. Strangely, after I exited the program and came back in later, they were all in order! Odd.
Awesome layout John, your vids are great! So I followed along and everything is working except for one thing. When I use Solo on the "Drum" or "Ungrouped" Section it works perfect, but if I use solo for any other specific colours that are part of the grouped section it just stops the group playing. I can't seem to figure out where I am going wrong. I have double checked the colours correspond and that quantization is set to "None" and of course the function is to Solo/Unsolo....Please Help! :)
I've ungrouped the channels and solo for all tracks works now. but doesn't when grouped.

Hey JP here.
You would need to connect the iPad to a USBC multiport adapter that has HDMI and then an a USBC capture card. That’s how we did it here: ruclips.net/user/liveuaP4np4WoAY?si=otNl80rHZ56UDPAv
Maybe ask Piers Cawley as that was his equipment. Then the iPad is just seen as a camera that you can add to software like Restream Studio or OBS.

Yes I was following along really well set up the three groups fine then we got to the mutually ex groups and toggling and it fell apart for me I can’t understand if there is a bug or it’s just a concept in progress
