I wasn't attending SC '23 for a variety of reasons, so Max and I went on a little siren adventure today instead, last minute as always. This unique Sentry was first on our hit list for the day, and is one of only a handful of its kind currently in service across the US. This is one of Sentry's new 10V1Ts, the 10V2T's replacement in their lineup of sirens. The other one in Montezuma is actually the first one ever made, but we opted for this one since another enthusiast recorded that one in April. Poweshiek County tested a little late, but did the regular full alert test. I admittedly wasn't expecting a whole lot, but this siren blew me away with how powerful it was! Definitely the loudest omni siren I have heard so far, even beating out the Bensenville Cyclone I heard. The other two sirens from today will be uploaded later this year. Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
Poweshiek County tests their siren system on the first Saturday of every month at 12 PM between March and November, weather permitting.

Wow i thought this was a rare/older variation! Didn't know it was the 10V2Ts replacement! This thing sounds incredibly beastly! Awesome video man.
Miss the quirky horns on the 10V2T.
@@gian3248that is one thing I will definitely miss!
Fresh as balls!
These new 10V1Ts sound cool when they wind up due to almost having that "dual tone" sound to it even though 1 row of chopper is spinning faster then the other at first until the second catches up to speed.
Do the two choppers have their own motors?
@@awesomegaming8617 yes
@@conner5611 That's unique! Thank you for the reply. I really want to know what the inside of these sirens look like taken apart.
@@awesomegaming8617 its basicly a sterling dual head siren turned horizontal with two motors on the inside being that sentry is made by sterling
@@conner5611 Ah, that makes sense. I'm surprised I didn't know this about these Sentry's until now. I wonder what the ambience of a Sentry 10V2T and an XT22 would be like, haven't found a video yet to feed my curiosity.
Interesting how that “warble” effect isn’t nearly as noticeable as the ones on the single phase 15V/20V’s.
Do the two choppers have their own motors? They're the same tone, but the wind ups/downs are very interesting. It sounds like the Milaca MN ACA Screamers blaring together.
Yes, two separate 5hp motors
@@Stormsetter4Thank you, very unique!
Chubby siren
Powerful 😊😊😊
Is it me or the horns are short?!
Imagine they put a custom chopper like an 8 port and 15 port
It would be like a 8/15 port Gents
I think it's sounds like darley champion
Is this a new model in sentrys linup?
Yes, this is the replacement for the 10V2T.
They don't do attack anymore?
Unsure as of yet. Entirely possible they’ll stick with alert, but also possible they won’t.
Where is sentry siren located

Seems strange. I thought they did attack.
When I asked earlier today they didn’t give me a specific answer, but said the residents responded better to the alert signal. Not sure if they’ll keep with alert or go back to attack.
Hope Guernsey's Type B will do attack.
They will all do steady now
@@Stormsetter4 That's unfortunate.
This is so ugly
