We get into the interiors of Myshuno MoMA today and finish off the main entrance and the bar area, I'll be back tomorrow finishing off the build by furnishing the museum curator office and store room!

How about putting the required easel in the curator's office for cleaning and restoration of smaller paintings? Real museums probably send them out to specialists, but it would give it a reason to exist. Or maybe a little classroom somewhere for workshops.

In Helsinki the museums offer art courses and workshops. We used to go at least once a year with school when I was a kid. So maybe you could include a small class room for art students/kids to use the easel.

There is a front-desk mod by Kuttoe that makes NPC receptionists if you have that desk-table with a chair and a computer :) it's nice for gameplay!

When I went to the MoMA in New York there were art students with easels set up by art works painting with their headphones in acting like true main characters - some easels near the art would actually be quite realistic!

im gonna use those panels as handles for disabled toilets now, genius! i add mods like elevators everywhere and functional ramps to embed more representation into my lore as well. its solid

Love how this is coming together nicely and the table. Yes, you went there and I love you even more for it. After reading the comments, I did like the suggestions on here about what to do with the easel, down in the basement for the curator. They could either be a very good forger or one of the artists who contribute to the MoMA. Think of the story lines you could have with that one. 😀
Hi Aden! If we're going for realism, maybe u could put a wall length mirror in the disabled toilette instead of the over the sink one, as that can be kinda inaccessible for wheelchair users. Love ya

you can add an easel to the museum director's office or downstairs to a small staff area where they do restorations and cleanings! :) i love this build
i’m a freelance artist/muralist and have been paid to paint in galleries/community centres before as a live installation. an easel is very uncommon but it DOES happen!

I love the idea of putting the easel outside. It should have a good view of that sculpture or of the steps. Like maybe an art student came to paint using the outside as inspiration because they were inspired by the architecture. (Or they are a starving artist, too broke for even the smallest donation entrance fee 🤣)
Looking good! If you don’t want people randomly painting then put the easel down in the basement level in a storage cupboard and make it inaccessible.
LIve painting is actually pretty popular! Especially at festivals (of all sorts).
Hi Aden. A magnificent build - so creative!
I use gallery art all the time in my builds - there are some fabulous creators on there. When I upload my builds to the gallery, the only time they are flagged as CC is if the original creator used CC to create their art. If I see the CC symbol, I remove their art as I never use CC. Hope that makes sense!
You could put the easel in the storage room because museums do have painters that restore old pieces.

I work in a museum and if you're going for realism the curators office and store NEEDS to be a complete mess hahahaha organised chaos, they know where everything is but no one else does!

You could put the easel downstairs (so it won't bother you) and maybe add an archaeology table as well, for "appraisals".
There's no official lots available on Batuu. You would have to remove another lot with freebuildmode, which I wouldn't totally put past Aden but is still strange! 😂
You could put the easel in storage for when they do paint restoration

I've got a crazy story line for the curator. They are an artist but their work never took off. They still paint and that's why there's an easel in the office. But the real reason is, they have started doing forgeries of most of the paintings in the museum. For extra money since they have been denied a pay raise, yet again. About 50% of the paintings in the museum are the curators' forgeries. And no one has realized there's fakes in the museum. They've sold the real paintings for a 50,000 simoleons and up on the black market 😊
I wonder if you could put the easel in the curators office, like he's always wanted to be an artist and knows everything about art but can't paint worth a damn, so the closest he can come is curating the museum.
add some "gift shop" itens in the main level would be great!
Maybe the easel can go in the basement and be used by the painting conservator/restorer? What ever they call those people.
People are actually painting on easels in Le Louvre Museum in Paris :) It's a common practice when you learn art and have to try and copy masterpieces

Thought I was the only one having save issues. The work around I've been doing is saving to the gallery then reloading from there. Then just deleting from the gallery.
I love this kind of building but its something I really struggle with making for myself. I love your idea of using gallery art, but could you please upload a version to the gallery without it? Because it will say that the lot uses cc so us console users won't be able to see it because we don't have that option to tick. (Even though we can download the no cc art so it literally makes no sense).

You can always do an artist's residency if you need an excuse for the easel.
We can pretend the see through bathrooms are the ones that change as soon as it's locked.

just chuck the easel down in the curator's office, behind the vault so no one uses it 🤷 or have a sim make a painting on it so no one can use it
Once i placed the peen painting in one of my builds and my friend just went 'oh thats a cute snail painting!" so apparently not all of us are filth and there's hope for them 😂 (dont worry, they cant unsee the peen anymore after I mentioned it)
When is the Brindleton Bay save file coming out? I can only find the other ones 😢
Since he said that he also wanted to build Windenburg and Henford on Bagley as british towns as well, I would assume that he will release all of them together with connected storylines and families
When I don’t want to have a required item in a build I just build a basement and put said item in the basement.
