    Thanks for your video review. You may have better luck with the clear stamps if you cut a piece of fun foam the size of the recess in the stamp platform - I think it comes in multiple thicknesses - That will raise up your card stock up, so when you stamp, the paper and the stamp will be closer together for a clearer and more complete stamping. Another issue may be the thickness of your magnets. If they are too thick, they will prevent the platform's lid (with the stamp on it) from touching your card stock. Blessings and thanks again for sharing!! Sarah

    I love watching all the different ways people can make cards. My son tells me to quit watching & start making them. The waterfall is really cute. I was hoping someone would get the corners. I got a lot of dies & have problems taking them apart. A lot get bent if they are close together. The belt is a different & great idea for the belly band. I will be buying the numbers you bought. I really like them. Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all

    FYI: Stamps, whether clear or real rubber, come in different depths, so that's why when you put several on a stamp platform at one time, they may not all give good impressions. This can be true even when the stamps come from the same set. When stamps are made, if there is a void in the stamp giving a poor impression, a good maker will replace that one with another from a different pressing. Also, you can add more ink as needed.

    Great haul! To be honest, I'm starting to think quite a few of the big name sellers have been buying from a seller such as temp long before the public knew about them. I recently found a ton of the molds purchased from let's resin were exactly the same ones on temu. Same with watercolors. Are you still planning on adding links?🥰

    Hi! Great Temu haul! And I LOVE your very creative waterfall! I've been shopping on Temu since April + personally love it! I'm able to buy tons of great crafting supplies at inexpensive prices, along with clothes etc! Have had no major issues. And no problems with returning items. But as with online store or brick and mortar store, not everyone will be happy nor satisfied. Great that you've been satisfied w/almost all of the items you've bought on Temu! Craft on!

    It isn't just Tim Holtz that is copied. The whole craft world for paper is being copied. Stamperia products are copied into 6X6 and 8X8 sizes. You can also find Stampin' Up products copied and many more. Usually you can find them by using two letters like SU Dies for the dies from Stampin' Up or TH Dies for Tim Holtz. I liked Temu until I was 4 months into purchasing and noticed that their sale prices were not appearing in my basket. What fun is it to see a sale price and they aren't accessible? I wrote them several times and they would offer me a $5 discount or say they were giving me 20% off to make up for losing out on sales that had a much bigger discount. They would even tell me that the correct prices would be reflected after checkout was completed, but it wasn't. One purchase alone cost an extra $60. I canceled it. They will take advantage of you quickly and then assume you are hooked and will overlook things being late as long as they give you $5 credit. A new customer and I ordered something at the same time and hes got there several days faster than mine and she lived next door. No more with Temu until they fix their policies and allow old customers to be treated fairly.

    Regarding the packaging: all the shipments come from China so they have to go through customs before delivery to the US customers. My understanding is that the customs officials have to open every package and inspect the contents so they have to re-wrap and tape each package after they’ve finished the inspection. I’m sure they must process thousands of packages daily so they’re not too concerned about making a package look nice. Their only concern is wrapping and taping each package securely enough to stay intact long enough to be delivered. And they cram so many items into each package and re-wrap and tape each package so quickly that some items, like stencils that are loose in the package,are bound to get damaged occasionally. I’ve had many TEMU orders delivered and I’m always amazed at how many items they can get in one package with little or no damage.

I just ordered some dyes from Temu, still don't have a machine yet. I was glad to see that the dyes can be separated to use in a 3 inch machine. I wasn't sure if that could be done. I learned so much from this one video & I look forward to watching more of you.

    Tim Holtz platform is for both types of stamps. One side is for rubber stamps and the other side is for clear stamps. Clear stamps are made of Polymer or silicone, depends of who makes them they come out of different thickness, which is probably why you had hard time stamping. On those stamps try using a sheet of fun foam under the cardstock to make up the stamp some type of shim for stamping.

    Usually, you need to condition new clear stamps ... to get the oils off of the new stamp that resulted from the manufacturing process... A lot of people just rub the lines with their fingers ... others use baby wipes .... Alcohol wipes are probably NOT a good idea ... soap and water probably would work too ... Then the ink will stick on smoothly and not be blotchy from the "resist" on the new stamp. After using it for a while ink will adhere better. Another technique I've seen people use is to stamp a sticky clear ink like Versamark on the new stamp and then stamp again with the black on top of the Versaark. Another tip: move the stamp away from the edge of the platform with the hinges ... hinges are lifting the plate. Also, the reason for the plate is so that you can stamp the exact same spot several times to get a good dark image ... reink the stamp each time ...

  • @carolloye3700

    Sometimes with new stamps a light rub with my fingers over the stamp will help it stamp better. Helps to condition the stamp. Your strap and waterfall look great! Fun Haul❣️

    Knock off is not always right. Tim Holtz is the same as everyone else in that business, they all have access to Copyright free things. You could go to a stamp show years ago and see the same tulip image in 5 different places. I wouldn't worry that you're buying 'knock offs'.

    PS If it looks like Tim Holtz ... It is an exact copy ... maybe a slightly different size than the original. Many stamp companies use Chinese manufacturers for their products. Other brands of stamps that I noticed that Temu was selling and were copies include Stampin' Up! and Spellbinders. Recently, I saw the brand-new Tim Holtz Halloween stamps listed on Temu. (Note: Temu usually doesn't say what manufacture created the designs, but they usually list the store that is making the knockoffs.) Anyway, the real Tim Holtz stamps had been introduced as this year's new Halloween collection on a RUclips channel just the day before ... The real ones were way more expensive and have the official packaging. The ones from the Temu counterfeiters look like they come on a plastic sheet in a flimsy plastic bag.

    Artists like Tim Holtz & Dina Wakley license their products from China and make better quality ones.
    Temu has the cheaper silicone stamp version & thinner dies. Some people can’t afford the expensive rubber stamps. If you want go buy the $30 one.
    Flip over your designer labels Made in China. I don’t understand the issue with ‘knock offs.’ China had the version of stamp first. If designers retire a product it’s free game capitalism. No need to apologize.
    Temu items at times are small, read the measurements. Prices change everyday. Yes it’s like a co-op in a big warehouse. I love Temu.
    If you check your order within 30 days you can get an adjustment price if available.
    When More people return stuff the higher the price of items. Shop wisely.
    All I ask give the first three -four words to the description so I can find it. Thanks.

    So the washi with paper backing is not good for longevity? What happens if you store it for a while?

    • @journallifesjourney
      @journallifesjourney  Год назад

      Longevity is not an issue. It's more that it unravels from the roll, and you have to find a solution to keep it rolled for storage or it's all over the place. I use washi tap a lot for planning, and the backing makes it more cumbersome to use, so I avoid it.

    Per evitare di avere i pezzetti di metallo in giro, metti un magnete sulla pinza così rimangono attaccati. O usa un magnete per raccoglierli.

    Pardon, my ignorance, but what is wrong with washy tape that has backing? Why wouldn’t you want to buy it?

    • @journallifesjourney
      @journallifesjourney  Год назад

      It unravels and is a headache to store. It's not always simple to rewind it and tape it to itself. It's also more difficult to work with depending on the project.

    Who is Tim Holtz?

    • @jessicachamps3949
      @jessicachamps3949 Год назад +1

      he's a maker/creator. a quick Google search would give you more info but I'd say put his name in YT, he does lives most Sats demoing his products, this video for example, while she mentioned she doesn't follow him specifically, Tim holtz sold not only the stamp platform, but also her ruler (best ruler on the market imho), her scissors, the ink she was using, etc, if you are crafting anything at all, it's a name worth getting to know (again just my opinion, not law)

    What a shame that you are promoting a company that STEALS copyrighted designs from other companies that PAY THEIR DESIGNERS for their time and creative ideas. Your personal creativity is amazing, and I hope that you'll sympathize with those designers who deserve to get paid for their efforts.

      Really? What about Amazon? Just curious, because I've found a lot of the same products sold on Amazon on Temu. Also, did you know rhat some of the big brands buy the rights to use some of their products and designs, and they don't have exclusive rights to those products and designs?

    • @cottagecraftsdiy
      @cottagecraftsdiy Год назад +1

      Amazon sells lagit brands well as knock-offs but not Temu. Still they may be knock-offs but some are pretty darn good for a lot less money. Take Tim Holtz which is expensive while Temu knock-offs are a lot cheaper.
