Both Are Technically True. Darth Vader Did Kill Anakin In A Way, And Obi Wan Did Push Anakin's Transformation Into Darth Vader, So It Could Be Argued That Anakin Died That Fateful Day On Mustafar
People always say Vader was not initially Luke's father, but if that's true then there is a line in ANH that needs explaining. Beru: He has too much of his father in him. Owen: That's what I'm afraid of. If Vader wasn't known to them as being his father, what did Owen mean by this?
They probably didn't know Vader was Anikin. They do however remember Anikin's anger at what he believed was their inactivity at finding his mother. Luke is frustrated that Uncle Owen isn't allowing him to follow his friends to the academy and they sense a growing anger in him. Luke, like Anikin before him, knew he was destined for greater things. They might have been talking about that and was worried Luke might end up like his father trying to find his destiny
I believe his mask in Episode 4 is actually asymmetrical due to the limited budget at the time. It was corrected later but I think the one used in Obi Wan Kenobi matches the original design.
as I recall, the mask was asymmetrical in all 3 of the original movies. it wasn't until they produced a C&C machined mask for ROTS that they got one symmetrical enough to be considered perfect.
@@evangelinemacasil6964 I completely agree. I really liked it back then. (I even dressed as him, lol). Though, I think now it's a bit late, Hayden looks aged for the roll. Unless they use some deep fake to de-age him.
Eh, Episodes 1 through 6 are basically Vader's whole show, plus 1 through 9 as a whole are also officially called The Skywalker Saga, alluding to both him and his offspring Luke.
Prowse was an actor. On set he spoke with his Bristol accent. Mostly having to shout to be heard through the mask. But could do other accents. Nobody sounds like JEJ but the notion that Prowse would be Darth Farmer is disrespectful. Lucasfilm did the same thing with Maul in the Solo movie. In both cases the actor didn't know their voices had been replaced until late in the day.
@@novustalks7525 no he wasn't. Lucasfilm are a bunch of jerks. You don't let an actor pay for a cinema ticket to see a film he thinks he is in only to find out its the impersonator from Clone Wars. Peter Serafinowicz originated the role.

The “Obi-Wan killed your father.” line would have worked too. I’m sure that Anakin could have felt death in that anger as he was defeated by Obi-Wan.
