@@samuelraulo The ribbon symbolizes that the officer is non gazetted....In odisha police Inspectors are special gazetted officers. So they don't wear blue and black ribbon.
@@debabratamuduli363 yes career is important. If you don't get any major punishment and you have age then you will definitely be promoted to SP rank . They are mainly posted in special branches. In rare cases they r posted as SP of small districts . The SP of Sonepur district is promoted from sub-inspector.
@djcreation8185 Si is too rare in cases of very longer process and age is too much in that particularl time as well as if career is so good then there promoted aftr 24 year for the dsp rank not only the ips cader it's a sp rank . It's only for possible opsc (ops) dsp rank person who has atleast 7years service career aftr he promoted Sp rank. Otherwise go to clear the upsc exam and make yourself the ips.
