  • Hazrat Fatima, also known as Fatima Zahra, was the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad and his first wife, Khadijah. She is one of the most revered figures in Islam, especially within Shia traditions. Born around 605 CE in Mecca, Fatima was known for her piety, kindness, and deep spiritual devotion.
Fatima married Ali ibn Abi Talib, the cousin of Prophet Muhammad, and they had two sons, Hasan and Husayn, and two daughters, Zaynab and Umm Kulthum. Her marriage to Ali is considered a significant union, as both are central figures in Islamic history.
Fatima's life was marked by her close relationship with her father. She supported him during the difficult early years of Islam and was deeply affected by his passing. She is remembered for her role as a devoted daughter, wife, and mother, and her example of steadfast faith and compassion continues to inspire Muslims worldwide.
Fatima passed away a few months after her father's death, around 632 CE, and her resting place remains a point of reverence and mystery, with different traditions suggesting various locations. Her legacy is celebrated annually, especially during the month of Ramadan and on her birth and death anniversaries, known as Fatimiyya in Shia communities.
