That Peter Gabriel quip from James Acaster was Lee Mack-esque

There are other quick witted British comedians and James Acaster is one of them. Another is Michael McIntyre and he is the highest paid comedian in the UK ( google). Sean Lock was more brilliant (IMO)!

It wasn't Lee Mack quick, but it was great

@necymamaril3735 to compare Michael McIntyre to Lee Mack in terms off of the cuff quips is absolutely bizarre. He's a routine man, and a routine man only.

@user-by1rm9ue2i they appear to be using "quick witted" purely as a superlative, like "great" or "amazing."

David has never picked up anything in his life. Not even the smash hit 1986 album So by Peter Gabriel, which contains the hit single Sledgehammer

Not picked up a sledgehammer for smashing nuts, but he has picked up a pretty astonishing wife 😊

Thats honestly a very reasonable amount of timefor his thumb to completely heal. I once mashed my thumb in some crates so bad i swore up and down it was broken, but it wasnt. There were splotches of red (presumably blood) under the nail for a week and it hurt like hell for several days but nothkng was broken and a month later you couldnt tell it had happened

I'm willing to bet my house that David has never seen the inside of an A&E department... I'd have to own a house, but you know what I mean.

I like James. He's quiet and unassuming but when he does say something it's absolutely hilarious. Too many kids these days do far more talking than thinking

True - but I wouldn’t limit that point to just “kids” … it’s everyone!

@@WEC8198 I wouldn't limit it to these days, either.

David appears to have combined both British and American pronunciation of Garage.
