Thank you for marking the different parts of the cardigan with timestamps! And also providing different sizes! This video was perfect for me! It had a video instruction, as well as timestamps, and written instructions! Thank you so much for all the hard work you do!! I look forward to seeing more amazing patterns from you!
No worries at all. Timestamps always prove super useful as a youtube watcher, so I want to make sure to include them in every video. I have a few more clothing projects in the works so I hope they don't disappoint :)

This is where I especially love the differences in the Englishes. I would have said 80's, 90's, and 2000's. But you said 80s, 90s, and naughtys (sorry if I am spelling that wrong, I know naught/knot? Means 0) So now I know how to say 2000s without saying all that 🤣 And I am.sure to getba few odd looks but I am positive atleast 90% of people will understand what I mean and its awesome 🥰

I've never made a cardigan for myself but you have inspired me to really consider doing so. I love your design. No idea about the characters, but really love the look. I was thinking it needed an edging, then you mentioned it. Also you could leave a unsewn gap at the bottom where the side and the back join. Sure there is a technical term for it but no idea what it is. Also just watched your Poke.on inspired cardigan. I have a grandson who would love that!! Thank you for your inspiration. xxJane
You’re the BEST. I’m so happy I found your channel! I’m catching up on your “older” content and loving every minute. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and skill with us! ☺️🫶🏻🧶 ALSO: GORGEOUS!!!
A tip because she did the colors a little wrong. So she went with 50% white when in reality it should be about 75% white and about 7.5% blue 7.5% black 12% pink that way itll look a little bit more realistic and closer to Shinobu's actual design. Oh and remember to make the bottom more flared up too. Ex: if your shoulder length if 45cm do 60cm for the bottom. Its similar to the sleeves but a little less flare. But its personal preference so you can make it even more flared!
Ill be doing this sometime next year (yes i am that booked up with projects). With a couple of slight differences, tapered sleeves because flappy sleeves get on my nerves, and flower motifs instead of butterflies
I love how we have to schedule our projects. Tapered sleeves sound like a good idea. I would've done that too if I wasn't trying to be pretty accurate to the character design. Can confirm the flappiness is very annoying 😂
If you do another one, please do nezuko. My daughter is obsessed with her and I would love to make her one. Also! Like this is really beautiful and plan on making it ❤️ but I hope you make all the characters lol
This will be my next project I've already purchased the yarn for it I got the Lily sugar and cream cotton yarn. Could i ask why it would be easier to block before they are sewn together? And what the purpose of blocking is? This will be the biggest project I've taken on so far and I'm a little intimidated but your video is so in depth I've convinced myself I can do it! Thank you for taking all this time to not only create it on camera but teaching me all the things you did to make it as beautiful as it is! Very well done!
Blocking is used for a few reasons: to stop edges curling, to help maintain size/shape and in clothing it can help your piece drape better so it looks more flattering when you wear it. I thought it might be better to block the panels separately because it's easier to work with one or two pieces individually rather than five already sewn together. Good luck with your haori!
I've been planning to do crochet so i looked online and saw this and Demon slayer is my fav anime of all time...this made me wanna do it more but idk how to start ╥﹏╥
It might be one day. I've just started out crocheting clothes, so I'm not confident enough in my skill yet to be doing a full written pattern. If/when I get to that point I'll for sure revisit this.
I honestly don't know. I need to break my crocheting up into short sessions for pain reasons, so I made this over a period of about a month. Sorry, I know that's probably not very helpful.
@@SkeinSpider no it’s perfectly helpful! I was just curious as my sister loves anime and butterflies so this would be a perfect snuggle-y type of thing!
I don't think so. If anything you may want to adjust your sleeve length because the extra cm's across the back will translate to extra length across your shoulders and the top of your arms.
Je voudrais avoir une référence de laine svp J’ai deux pelotes différentes de 100g mais une fait 230m et l’autre 320 m Que me conseillez vous par pelote merci bcp ❤
This cardigan is made to people's own measurements/preferences. So if you wanted to make it larger, my suggestion would be to follow the instructions for taking your measurements but than add some additional length/width. For example, if you measured shoulder to shoulder take that measurement and add Xcm to increase the size.

you could always add a cuff at this point. It would balloon at the bottom but still give the illusion of a larger sleeve.

thats amazing but i will make the sleeves very big to give that butterfly effect when spreading the arms
Ohoooo my god, this cardigan / kimono is the bombe, I need one, and thank you for the video.
For the sleeves, you could always fashion yourself a Tusuki to pull them out of your way.

When doing the edging, front post sc, back post sc for a few rows/rounds will look similar to ribbing. 😊
