Its all marketing my friend. Jimmy the car guy has millions of subs. His titles are always clickbate lies. Your work is a gift. Keep it up and thank you!
I recently picked up jazz and your stuff has absolutely catapulted my development. Many other content creators have an unnecessarily complex approach which can distract the guitarists attention to secondary stuff and make the whole thing seem absurdly complex. The main thing is getting accustomed to the language of jazz, so to say, which comes by doing stuff in practice instead of thinking about all the theorical stuff (which is helpful but not the real thing itself.) Would definitely recommend signing up for your Patreon to anyone getting into jazz or wanting to expand and develop their playing.
Also in my own experience the theoretical concepts are way easier to grasp once you realize that you already have used them in practice. Trying to first learn the theory and apply it seems way more difficult similar to memorizing a chapter of grammar book and trying to apply the data afterwards in a real life talking situation
Right on. Even though I'm an expert in music theory I don't care for it at all. I think it's a bunch of pretentious names often used in inappropriate ways. Classical music theory so misses the mark when used to describe jazz music. It gets even worse when people try to use theory to evaluate the quality of jazz music, ridiculousness.
Haha well, no point in denying it. 100% of my titles/thumbnail are clickbait. There's just different levels of clickbait: some are mild, others are outrageous 😁
@@ChristiaanvanHemert *Django comes back to life to play Minor Swing???? GONE WRONG!!! 🐦😈🤪" Hope you get more views, this vid has some real important content
Thanks Rolf. I think in this case the clickbait refers to the fact that people click on it expecting drama but just get a regular old tutorial video...
I love your rhythm workout videos. It's great how you share your preferences for alterations in your chords to compliment the other players. Carry on, exactly like you do !
Thanks for the question Rob B. Eventually those will be available but not for at least 6 months to a year. We have invested a lot of money in producing high quality physical copies.
Thanks. The thing is though that clickbaiting seems to be the only way I'm getting any decent amount of views. Believe me, I wouldn't do it so much if I'd get views any other way (I've tried).
Nice playing. Dave Walliman is a RUclips guitar teacher. He has been doing videos for years. A few months back he did a video on his business model and approach. I think it might be of interest to you. Best of luck...
Yeah I know, it felt like it was the time for it. My previous video was a complete disaster views wise and if one produces a couple of videos in a row that bomb, in my experience that means months of hard work to get the channel back on the right track. I thought that maybe this could prevent that and so far it has. Sorry for the inconvenience...

You are bad ass and thank you for being so thorough, you are the best Gypsy jazz educator in the world!
Wow, thanks David
@@ChristiaanvanHemert you are welcome! I’m practicing Donna Lee right now! Thanks again!

I appreciate your honesty. very helpful video man!
Hi Christiaan, please keep posting your videos, always great information and easy to follow 👍👍👍
Thanks Django!
I just love that you admitted to click bait😆

Love your teaching!!
Thanks!
It's actually not clickbait because your vidoes have great stuff in them!

Thanks Stephen!
lovely video
Thanks!
Do you have an explanation of blues en mineur?
really nice lesson thanks
You're welcome Gladu
We just want to assure you that if you had to use Clickbaits every video and we get these videos in return.. we don't mind at all. We love your work♥️
Thanks a lot M2J
Christiaan, Is there a way for me to download an e-copy of your new book?
Thanks for the question Rob B. Eventually those will be available but not for at least 6 months to a year. We have invested a lot of money in producing high quality physical copies.
I've learned more from you than from my actual guitar teachers in the past. If clickbait is necessary, I dont mind at all
haha, thanks Christian. Great compliment!
You are so good you can be forgiven for clickbaiting.
Thanks. The thing is though that clickbaiting seems to be the only way I'm getting any decent amount of views. Believe me, I wouldn't do it so much if I'd get views any other way (I've tried).

How many more videos are you gonna make?
It's neverending :D
I knew it was clickbait and I did still click, but you do know, I’m sure, the cry wolf story and how that turned out. ;)
Yeah, the boy in the story got famous and everybody's been talking about it for centuries.
any violin tutorials coming to Patreon or?
No violin videos kill my RUclips channel. No views and no subs. It takes two full time work days to make a video so I can't take that risk.
@@ChristiaanvanHemert I guess I'll just lift licks the old fashioned way...thanks for all you do.
It worked.....
I should make a "last video" every month :)
@@ChristiaanvanHemert in fairness I hadn’t seen a rhythm video in a while...so. Thanks for this one.
haha the davie504 reference. REST STROKE LIKE NOW
:D
What an awful joke to do, Christiaan! XD
🤪
@@ChristiaanvanHemert please Christiaan, for your next CRW video, could you show us "J'attendrai"? P-L-E-A-S-E!!!
Slap like if you caught the bass reference lol
Finally, somebody notices :)

Your damn clickbaiting worked fine for me 😅
