One thing I would say is there was an interview with him a little while after Streets dropped. In he said he is trying to create a fully physics based game. Physics based is a totally different kettle of fish in game dev. I think him adding cars and bikes could possibly be him learning physics and vehicle movement rather than them being things to see in streets. Who knows though. Communication is not Mash's strength to say the least.
Yeah he said in discord that everything is a 2 wheel system currently, and to add the trike from streets he needed to create a 4 wheeled system as a base, him adding the cars and skateboard etc is just a skin on top of an invisible 4 wheeled object or system. Plus it was his weekend off and he just wanted to add some fun into work lol
this is him working on the new physics, it takes all of 5 minutes to download these assets n put them into the game. he’s very clearly testing the slide mechanics with the car
This is exactly why he has his comments turned off on Instagram. I don't quite understand what he's doing here exactly or what his goal is with this game now. Thinking of the console people, I can imagine how they're feeling. Although I'm not opposed to having more stuff to do in the game I feel like he's losing the plot here. I just hope this is all going to be worth it in the end
I've lost all hope with streets being a good finished game. Every time he starts working on stuff the game gets worse. He rushed to release streets and it flopped. Now he's reworking the entire game with these bouncy ass physics. Mashbox is OK at best as of right now but it's basically just a more polished version of pipe after all these years of hyping up the BMX community.
i'm liking it, he's eperimenting let him cook, he seems to accidently making a bmx centered garry's mod which i am not gonna complain about, and he seems to be looking into flushing out the world with options, long term this small stuff is gonna add up and with how open he is with modding i wish he'd put modding tools in mashbox for us to see what we could come up with
I don’t see an issue it’s his game at the end of the day, if he needs to do stuff like this to gain motivation or as just a break from the physics etc then fair enough. Don’t see why people feel so entitled where he has to do what they want. The game is improving and I’m happy for that
I literally said the same thing on one of his recent posts on threads. Let him enjoy the process. It will most likely lead to a better game and people need to chill out

hey i like what mash has done so far with game its great.. is it perfect no does it need some work and updates? yes and why hes taken the piss now with stuff like this and wasting time while people asking for this or that is beyond me i like the idea of cars and bikes driving around the city/maps and making it feel alot more alive i feel like doing this rubbish is such a absolute waste of precious dev time.. just stick to bmx and fix whats wrong with game first before doing this useless stuff lol

If u build a house do u do 75% and just move onto another house and slowly do a wall here and there each week untill its done? This game is gonna slowly just turn into something else then a year later there will be another game that’s 40+ dollars over priced this guy does nothing but scam, this guy is a horrible game creator doesn’t know how to stay on task or consistency just doing shit that nobody ask for
Can people just stop hating soo much. yeah things didnt go perfect with streets and maybe wasnt what we all hoped for but big studios mess up tripple A games all the time as well. Look at no mans sky as an example, super hated on day 1 but after tons of work from the devs it has good rating on steam and is finally a good game. I also think the physics based stuff hes trying out in mashbox will make streets a much better game in the end, just let him take his time and work things out. also the motorcycle is a fun experiment. something I would love to see is an ebike, surron looking thing.

I'm not sure why you're assuming this is all being built for BMX Streets...More than likely, these will morph into their own games in the end. He said that from the beginning.
