Farewell good ol' lady, congratulations for your son, he is a art&fact human made with that best mothership. Never knew you yet I miss you, may we bond in the stars in the future. Thank you for your time here, for the gifts your son bring to this earth, wish you a sincere Rest in Peace, in the silence even if it's just a little our hearts beat for you.
The DF music is legit up there in the best sound tracks of all time. The way it creates a vibe for the game, you can look at any Fort anyone has made and hear the music playing and get sucked into it and have a feeling for all the dwarves as well as the overall struggles of each world and the chaos within them. Amazing stuff.
The music and the art, man, such a bless. Zach, Tarn, Dabu, Simon, Carolyn, the whole crew, they are embodying what fantasy is at its core as a genre and an artistic project. I don't know what to praise more, the painting or the songs. Keep up the good work folks.
My first fort was Youthtorch. We delved deep, grew strong, fought off goblins, and met our end in fire and terror. The last dwarf, the mayor, lay at the bottom of the great stairwell, his body broken as his world went to ruin about him. He felt satisfied at work, and then he died. Losing is Fun.
I cannot get over how good this song is, it's one of the main songs I put on when I go to sleep and it almost always works, it's utterly beautiful. Thank you for this song.
I've downloaded the soundtrack onto my phone and plan on sharing it with my co-workers. It has so much merit even separate from Dwarf Fortress. I'm glad to be a nerd, release it on Cassette please!
Perfection, all of it. All i can feel from this is emotion, sometimes all of them at once. Masterful craftsmanship at it absolute finest. Everytime i hear this song, i just think about my family back home. What a song for a loved one.
I wish the old ones were still in the game with their fixed audio, it couldn't be an issue of copyright not to add the soundsense ones to the game. Give it a base game modded tag or whatever.
~In memory of Simon’s mother, who inspired his love for music.
To the fallen!🍺
I'm sorry for your loss, Simon. Your music is amazing; Your mother's efforts paid-off beautifully.

I saw this about halfway through the song, and... You have made a grown man cry. I cannot imagine a better farewell song for a loved one.

Adventure Mode is going to be awesome.
real
Based pfp tbh
Man, the singing in this is so good that even a simple line like "I miss the bread and beer of home," gets me choked up.
I'm really glad guitar is kept as the central instrument of the whole new soundtracks. It really keeps the soul of the original soundtrack.
It's fronteirsy. And it works.

Beautiful music. I’m sorry for your loss, Simon.
What an incredible OST. Loved every second of it.
Incredibly beautiful, thank you for releasing the soundtrack!
Fave track of the lot, they're all gems.
Fantastic album! Makes me super hype for Adventure Mode!
This actually makes me tear up almost every time.

May she rest in peace 🕯️
Imagine listening it, while your character you've had a lot of adventures with, dying in glorious battle. A honoured death, for a honorable man.
God, i love the music in this game so much.
Caught myself listening to it way too often, especially on the road.
Thank you.
Chills. Just like with the first soundtrack - the last hits me the hardest. So good.
Beautiful. Rest in peace
Thank you, simon.

I also love the old tunes!
Man of a few words huh
(Lyric Video)
has two lines
I think the adventurer singing is dying.
Which means...
It was inevitable.
The final phrase
"I feel the warmth of my mother's shade"
Really gives me the chills
Its just rain, my fellow babin... well, maybe not really 🥲
