It's like a 50 year old and your trying to wake him up so he can take his medicine but refuses to get out of bed but then after a few minutes hes like fine I'll get up 😂
Im 25 years old and I KNOW I was born in the wrong era... Wish I could live when these things ruled the streets! The 'Cuda is my all-time favourite muscle car ever created, nothing modern beats the feel of this for sure!
Coda = awesome unedited! I think even the youngsters who are hot rodding Honda’s and Subaru’s will stand back in awe of the Cuda...keep taking good care of it...Car that dreams are made of. Be well.
if it's in "mint condition" then it's worth a mint price...6 figures. FYI-(true story) a white 1971 HEMI Cuda "peed" on white my pant legs(exhaust condensation) many years ago. I never washed the pants. Maybe they're worth a fortune today.
If by the rare chance I ever get my hands on one of these rare beauties, I love the idea of painting it dark green with black accents, I need to research on engines and mods though, I know next to nothing about cars.
so, i dont know. my plymouth is old as fuck, didnt have a rebuild but its alway start after the first short turn of the key. even in winter at minus temperatures
6 months of slumber...the monster isn't willing to wake up at first...but when it does...all hell breaks loose! lol Long live Mopar's, everything about them is awesome, even the starter motor sound, a true trademark! :D
Awsome car man! Love the stock appearance. That's how I like my cars. No need to over restore them they were cool as is. What size purple cam are you running? Sounds awsome!
I had one of those same color purple for almost 10 years all rusty and beatup, but I learned how to twist a wrench and put over 100000 miles on it myself --- it had an Edelbrock Torker manifold with a Carter AVS carb that I rebuilt myself the 3 carbs had to go at some point before I got the car, but it was the original engine, I put headers on it as well. It was my daily driver for 10 long years through the 80's what fun I tell you but as my friend Bobby said I was under the car a lot of that time---lol---it was worth it
I will always be my favorite car as I have so many great memories with it. It rests in a junkyard somewhere in the Nielsville Wisconsin area probably sunk into the ground by now--lol
East Bay Hounds ahhh nice. Realistically weren’t the numbers on most of the engines exaggerated?? Edit: 254 is respectable. That’s almost 1 cubic inch per HP at the crank!
Justin G. Yeah man, 1971 and earlier “gross horsepower” ratings were pulled by an engine on a stand with no air cleaner, exhaust system or belt driven accessories so most manufacturers numbers were unrealistically high. The 340’s 275 hp was supposedly understated. Hot Rod Magazine got 320 hp at the crank on an almost stock motor. The 254 hp chassis dyno pull on this car was done by a previous owner so there is a chance that the setup or tuning was a bit different at the time and there is always a significant loss of hp between the crank and rear wheels. All I can say for sure is that the car feels plenty fast and is a lot of fun!
When not running an electric fuel pump, I assume you're not. The fuel evaporates from your float bowls. An easy way to start a car that's been sitting I use a 50cc syringe to put 100cc of fuel down the primary vent tube on a holley. It goes directly into the float bowl. No tools needed. Your car will start right up without overheating the starter.

There’s something about old classic muscle cars that makes me gravitate towards them I just love the V8 sound they make
Me too! Thanks for watching the vid!

So true!
I'm very pleased and impressed with the young man starting this Cuda' and letting her warm up prior to any revs!! Good job sir!

Absolutely! There is no modern car that has the feel of a Cuda, it is truly a beast. Thanks for watching the vid and commenting!

PowerForward Thanks! The Cuda definitely turns heads when it roars down the street. Old school muscle has a unique sound for sure.

Like the '71 Cuda from Test Drive for Playstation 2.
Music to the soul!!!!!
Beautiful car, hoping one day I’ll get my hands on one.
I wish you all the luck in the world my friend. God only knows the price tag on a piece of history in that condition would cost.
Love it. My uncle has 71 hemi cuda in sassy grass
Trade? JK, thanks for watching!

Plymouth did offer an “Ivy Green Metallic” paint color that looks really nice on the Cuda, especially with the optional stripes!
Thanks for the info!
Beautiful ☆
Thanks Kevin!
Beautiful car

力丸水嶋 The exhaust is modified, Flowmaster 40 mufflers with 2.5 inch pipes and a crossover.
East Bay Hounds

CMDR Razyr Wos Nicely said, totally agree!
Yes, I love that Mopar starter motor crank!! I wish I still had my 71 Cuda 340.
That starter motor crank is truly amazing!
@East Bay Hounds Car Club Sweet Cuda, I love the sound and the way everything looks factory under the hood too. Awesome car!
Thanks man, it is pretty stock with the exception of the Mopar Performance purple cam, Edelbrock RPM intake manifold and Holley 640 carb.
Awsome car man! Love the stock appearance. That's how I like my cars. No need to over restore them they were cool as is. What size purple cam are you running? Sounds awsome!
For sure! Stock is a timeless look. I will ask Big Block about his cam specs.
@@eastbayhounds7604 Agreed!
James 3rd the cam part number is: p4120231
Millennial grinding down a starter.
Jesus what a snarl when she wakes up that sound commands respect!
No other color fits the Cuda so much then this purple!
Green
here in the 340 Cuda idle is eargasmic
I just love "classic mopar music." It is "music to my ears."
@ Rick Bailey Is there any sound better then that classic Mopar starter?
Beautiful car wish I had one that's my dream car same color to lol
Thanks, Hope you can own one some day!
Same here but ill like mines black. I know itll take money and time but ill have it one day. Very beast car man 👍

Ahhhhhh...... PLUM CRAZY PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I'm plum crazy over this car!
Haha, nice!
マジでカッコいい✨✨✨
pull it out
Sounds like a mild upgrade on the cam?! Never had a ‘CUDA, but wanted one and couldn’t afford. Got a 340 Duster and it was FINE!
Sounds so good it that a 484 lift cam?
It is! I don’t know how you knew but well done!
@@eastbayhounds7604 my father use to have a 74 cuda 360 with a mopar 484 purple shaft never forgot how it sounded, the perfect idle it had
Awesome sounding Mopar!
Nice to see you rockin the plum crazy on the Cuda 😊
Love the Cuda so much, love that you kept it fresh, nice ride man!
send me goddamn bank account to send you money for that music.....
I had a ‘Cuda 340 with the Hurst Pistol Grip 4 speed. Loved that car!
Nice! What color?
What's the only way to catch a Mopar with another Mopar
The beginning gave me some mad flashbacks to parking lots with a bad battery 😩😂😂😂
Loved those challenging starts with those Mopar starters!
Old school muscle will always have my heart they're very American cars
Nothing else compares to the exhaust note of an old school muscle car! Thanks for watching the vid!
50th like :)
Bad for your starter…
Love love love the sounds!!!! wish he would have backed up alitl make the sound exhaus sound even deeper.
With the bigger cam how much power are ya pushing??
With the cam, intake and carb upgrades the car puts out 254 at the rear wheels.
East Bay Hounds ahhh nice. Realistically weren’t the numbers on most of the engines exaggerated??

Beautiful car and engine is it all stock?
Thanks! The engine has a Mopar Performance Purple cam, Edelbrock RPM intake manifold and Holley 640 carb so it is a bit more aggressive than stock.
No Tesla will ever sound that good lol
Remove the word "that", it'll be even better 💪
Wha kind of mufflers are on it?
Flowmaster 40s
340 is good motor but I would have tweak it out for way more than stock HP
They definitely can be built for big HP.

@@eastbayhounds7604 Very nice car by the way.
That's the best way to tell your classic Mopar to "wake your lazy ass up." LOL!
Hey man can I use this video for my RUclips channel. I will credit you
Hi! Would you be using it as a clip within a longer video?
Well I want to upload it as a single video and maybe put it in a cold start compilation later if that would be fine with you

Pump it 3-4 times BEFORE you start grinding on it, rookie
Nah mate, crank the motor over to build
Oil pressure then give it fuel
