He’s basically an internet troll. We like the “signed in blood” message so he’s hooked up to the type writer and everything he writes drains a little blood from him until he eventually runs out. There’s a quick shot in there if you pause you can see he’s just typing code. He’s naked for a few reasons; lack of identity, nothing to hid behind, vulnerable, etc. the room full of mirrors is a nod to the fact that everything he says is really just a reflection of himself at the end of the day. Stuck in a cube, he’s got nowhere to go.
I believe "speaking in tongues" refers to somone with a "silver tongue." Knowing the right thing to say when manipulating someone.
Thats why the focus and his scream in the breakdown is "IM IN THE DRIVERS SEAT NOW!!!!"
Hes taking control of his life. Wont be played with. Not taken advantage of.
the title track of their most recent album , "The Death of Peace of Mind", definitely has to be next up. I really think you'll enjoy that one :)

Bad Omens is amazing, Nowhere To Go is a good song but it’s far from one of their best songs. The guy in the video represents an internet troll with their anonymity behind their screen and he’s typing in code. Check out The Death of Peace of Mind or Artificial Suicide, so many other great choices.
I respect this comment but I have learned from listening to this album front to back multiple times is that you should listen to the whole album front to back to truly appreciate what this band actually does

I discovered Bad Omens this year and they're so amazing. If you prefer less heavy sounds I recommend you check out The Death of Peace of Mind and What it Cost/Like a Villian (my favorite).

@@KoalityReactions If you like heavy my favorites are Dethrone(Live), and Glass Houses. That being said "Be Careful What You Wish For" is high on my list of favorites and is really beautiful too. He wrote that one after Chester (Linkin Park) died.

Noah Sebastian is probably my favorite vocalist in the current metalcore scene. His range is crazy and he kills it live. Nowhere To Go is one of their weaker recent songs though imo. Their current album has a lot of songs that are stronger. And while most people like their current album the most, I actually prefer their second album. I think it's really underappreciated. No skips on that one for me. Their first album is rather weak on the other hand. It has a few ok songs but they were clearly still learning their craft with that album.

@@HellSpartanZ I mean...yeah? I even said "imo". Musical taste is obviously going to be a subjective thing. Still, it's one of my least favorite songs on the album. I think the only songs I'd rank it above are Who Are You, Somebody Else and What Do You Want From Me. And it's my least favorite Bad Omens single. Well, maybe I'd put it above Exit Wounds. I don't know. I'd need to think about it.

You need to hear this album in track order, its a story
What art is about is always subjected to our own relative existence, right? The album is phenomenal practice in experimenting with sound. Would highly suggest most of the album (cover to end).. As far as the metalcore - they have their moments (even on this album) where they kind of slide into it, but not sure they ever classified themselves as such. Dethrone will hit every itch if that's what you want to hear from Noah though. His gutturals can be BRUTAL - and sooooo visceral, but TDOPOM was an experiment from top to bottom Vocals, Musicality (Nick my man, BRING ME THE NOISE), mixing, and even genre bending at times. (Noah would probably say out loud The Weekend had a heavy influence on this album)
As far as the song, even video.. I'd say watch/listen to it from the view of an addict. The mysterious ways things hold us captive.. Feeding us, catching back up to us as we try and escape it, regardless of how good our focus was. Even the man writing at the type writer (fed whatever that substance is) until he breaks free and *poof*.. just an opinion on what I get from it.

Reminds me a bit of the Cure, not as good though the instrumental parts were a bit meh by comparison. It’s not the sort of thing I would listen to much, it’s OK but nothing special.

Sounds like a poppy version of The Cure, his voice is similar to Morissey from the Smith's. Definitely not my kind of thing. The instruments let him down, he'd really be much more up my alley if the beat and melody weren't so basic.

Surprised you'd start with Nowhere to Go! The Death of Peace of Mind seems to be the typical gateway track. Or Just Pretend, or maybe Concrete Jungle or Like A Villain. Anyways, if you keep listening to their stuff you will be surprised by the variety!
