I still say that ole disc does a heck of a leveling job and the M is just walking away with it. Have a great weekend and if you happen to find a SANDIA DEPOT watermelon at the supermarket buy it you won't be disappointed. A great howdy from South Texas.
I am so locked into watching, I am almost forgetting to hit the LIKE and Comment! I note that on your tractor, it is quite easy to turn around and see what the implements are doing... Dropping another LIKE on your video! Watching and Supporting!
You got it made in the shade! Ain't worrying about the Joneses lol 👍🍻 Looks pretty dry. We've had some slow steady rains. Maybe headed your way. Hopefully we'll see you live more from the tractor. Boom! That non-existent bucket comes in handy. 😂 Poor tripod..
We had very acidy ground over here in the Highlands. We use to put it down spreading it out the Back of a tractor and trailer no fancy spreader for us me and my brothers where the spreaders or the driver of the ford 4000. Least you never hit me in the face with the tree today lol😂 That truck wouldn't go up my Brother's road let aloan the field lol.😂
Many years ago we farmed with a super M . Pulled 2 Kewanee 10 foot discs with it , one behind the other . No problems . Also pulled 5 shank Graham chisel plow with it . In heavy clay would run out of traction b4 loosing power . Great old tractor .
Wish my land looked that nice Had an old fordson super major use to use it a bunch then broke my thumb Bush hogging that sucked the enjoyment out of it then got sick had to sell to pay bills wish I could get one back but some day maybe but for now I'll have to watch you work with the old iron
I can't believe how dry your fields are! I spread some fertilizer on some hay fields, and left cleat marks behind- Can't even think about tillage yet lol
Hey Farmall, hope all is well with you. Looked like a beautiful day to be outdoors and do some prepping and planting this spring. Looks like you will be busy. Lots of rain forecasted for tomorrow and Monday, not sure if NW PA will get it too. Stay safe my friend.
You have to give those fertilizer truck drivers credit for what they do . Get a good spread and don't get stuck .Looks like he did a nice job . I hope he watches the video . Tell him he got a thumbs up from me
Best money spent is on lime around here! People “feel” better fertilizing..... but it has stopped having the desired effect because the ph is off so bad. The H sounds great pulling the disc..... beautiful work my man! 4th will knock the snot outta ya in rough soil!
It embarrassing to say how long it been since I've spread lime. Need it badly!!! As old as that truck is, these guys are keeping it as nice as Ted did.
How long does that lyme and potash last before it needs to be reapplied when the pH drops again? And with how much he was chucking to the wind isn't there a way to drop it in as a liquid to keep it from blowing away on you? Seems like you're losing some of what you're paying for.
Good god we planted a corn field 2 weeks ago we had 80 degree heat for 3 days then 2 inches of rain then this process for the next 2 weeks We had a guy come out said you need to replant a 120ah corn field but the 4 days hole dam field popped up 😂
Here it is almost a couple years now and the Fed Bucket Administration is still asking about your location. What have you done to warrant this degree of hostility? Bad, bad red tractor guy 😂.
Hello , have a question , noticed you didn't plow the headlands on the field is there a reason why ? I'm too waiting to get my garden in between the late snow , rain and cold temps it hasn't been easy , enjoy your videos keep them coming .
Ph is vital, healthy dust for growing stuff in that dirt 2:31 And yeah the super crazy weather with all the frosts made it a safer time to plant 5:00 In your experience with fields is Cow/Horse manure better? Or same
@@FarmallFanatic Lime about the last thing we need. Most soils here are lime stone clay based. Manure tends to raise PH too so farmers here have to watch were they spread it. Many of the old farmhouses are built out of limestone rocks and the ones that aren't are sitting on limestone foundations.
@@FarmallFanatic Huh, never heard of allowing the draw bar to slide when harrowing (or any other time for that matter). I only remember angling ours when we plowed, so the right tire ran in the open furrow. Quite an art getting the trip timing right at the end of the furrow, well at least it was for a twelve year old. Thanks for the memories - love what you're doing!
YOU'RE EQUIPMENT RUNS GREAT..

Definitely will! 👍
Love the color red
The field at the beginning of the video sure looked awesome!! The Farmall M sure handles the disc with no problem!! Have a good weekend my friend!!
You too!
By now you should be getting all the rain you want. Been raining for 4 days . Love watching the truck. 2 ton to the acre is pretty good.
Zero rain...rain here tomorrow

Regulate that field, Brother! Lots of amendments to feed the plants for the year!
Take care and stay safe,
Rob

Wow! Two 10 footers at a time?
@@FarmallFanatic Yup . Should have had duals but made due with what we had .
Got everything looking good! I’ve already picked a few peppers and about to have tomatoes down here in Texas!
We suffer here lol

Definitely been there
Love those Cornbinder videos.
Putting the M to work... She sounds great!!
I figured your fields would be muddy. Our yard is a swamp yours seems pretty dry. Hope all is well stay safe.
I have river bottom ground. Goes from water to dry in 36 hours.
Brings back some great memories of farming in the 80's and 90's with our Farmall M and 10 ft Kewanee
Man that truck spreads a big swath. The old girls just giving her the onion for sure.
Hahaha yep
I can't believe how dry your fields are! I spread some fertilizer on some hay fields, and left cleat marks behind- Can't even think about tillage yet lol
Trust me, we are wet as water today
U da man Farmall, BOOM💥 Have a blessed weekend.

Today we are dry but we go back to rain tomorrow
Most all of the spreader trucks are gone in my area. Not enough farmers left. Having to use a 500 pound 3pt cone spreader on my little patch.
I'm thankful for these guys
This brings back fond memories... I miss living in the country....
Good video brother 👍
That rumor mill is crazy this is a great a day in the life video battle, I wish you the best on this one man.

He watched
Awesome Life my friend but it's not easy. Take care 🤗🌷❣☕
Got everything done and its starting to emerge here so in a few days should be able to row my corn
Dang...we are swimming
I like lime in the spring myself nice looking field
A lot of prep work. Looking good.

Old fast Teddy
Im dropping the hammer on this place. Grain don't grow in acid...i learned that the hard way
Looking good. Glad you found the tripod, lol.
I put it in my non-existent bucket 😁
I saw the bucket, lol.
Impressive lime truck...
I have got my garden out yet as well . The weather has been putting a damper on things .
You planted sweet corn like 3 weeks ago
@@FarmallFanatic It didn't come up good at all .I'm going to till it back up and replant . I still got to plant all kinds of stuff .
@@AaricHale too cold?
@@FarmallFanatic Yeah
The Warren G reference gets me every time 😂.
Threw that in there for ya 😁
Nothing like the pur of engine of the Farmall M. The only green out there are the weeds that are getting plowed under by red power.
Haha yep
Is that pellet lime or just Ag lose lime
Ag lime...pellets would be expensive in these amounts
Congrats on 14k!!!!
Can you get a pull behind pot driven trailer to do the smaller softer fields from your local farm service
Yep

Replace annually. The dust actually settles. I always lime on days that are under 5mph wind
That’s a nice spreader truck!
Ol mack gettin er done
Got the M running good
Enjoy your videos ,have a good one !
Thank you!

Lol! Regulators mount up! Young guns!
BOOM
Our Ph was 4.0-4.5 I've been using solucal on our fields
It's definitely a process 👍
You still carrying around the non-existent bucket?!!
Yea its nice n light 😁

I'm saving that for my personal garden
Gotcha ,I do remember you saying something about that.
Same bed on our truck
Just subscribed...
Total awesome channel...😎👍
Thank you ✌
Usually the reason for leakage on a Pioneer coupler is a bad O-ring. We found that, anyway.
RIP tripod!! Lol
😁
Regulators Let’s ride

Same
What is the area of your farmland?
200 acres
Wow, it's really wide.
I have 7 acres in Korea. Very rich farmers have about 100 acres.
There are very few rich farmers.
What ph are you trying to get too? 6.2 doesn't seem to be bad.
As close to 7 as possible. If I can't get it limed one year, ill still be ok

how many Acres do you farm? Thanks for sharing your day.
Varies...140 to 200
Is that a railroad track in the background?
Yep
Nice video
Nooo bucket wth 😹🙀
I still want to know what’s in that engine. Man that thing sounds good!
It's a beast lol
My guess it is a 4 cylinder IH motor .But you could google it. It looks original from what I have seen of the motor
I imagine that it was once overhauled in the lifetime of the engine. Most people back then would go from 248 cubic inches to 264 or even up to 281.
7:04 pretty good angle.
Probably got a bad o-ring in that coupler
Causing it to drip 💧
Mysteriously it stopped
Now that's how you spread
I didn't realize it took that long for lime to incorporate like that. Interesting....
Peletized lime is quick
Thinking about starting a small farm
Not a bad idea in today's world
I usually go with lemon instead of lime 😏
Burrrrp 🤪
R.I.P. Mr Tripod
so...no tripod crop then I am guessing. :)
Next episode lol
Should've left the tripod maybe you'll get a crop of them to grow
It went in my non-existent bucket lol
Oh I've got some of those too
Lol how many tripods have you run over so far
Only one so far but we're really in the beginning of video season lol
I would have been choking with all that dust
Nah, you smoke...you'd be fine
👍
I think I need an m lol. Got to get the new tractor in first.
New?
Not brand new but new to the collection I think I mentioned it in a recent video along with some new equipment coming also
Why is your draw bar off center? When are you going to replace that blasphemous seat? Don't you realize your tractor is embarrassed?
That's a sliding draw bar...designed to move. Eventually...probably after planting...yes I realize...it's face is red
@@FarmallFanatic Huh, never heard of allowing the draw bar to slide when harrowing (or any other time for that matter).
