Walking and observing, no one the phone or listening to music, i have also found helpful. And I think that there is actually some research around letting the mind wander as beneficial. Although in your case you are also observing and learning.
I think maybe we don’t always think about getting better in so many words, but I think as our skills improve we become curious about and even lean to see more complex things. I love the idea of creative health. You are very inspiring.
Isn’t it amazing? (for us artists at least)..when we are out there walking and there’s always something beautiful or interesting stops us in our tracks and we start the painting in our minds.Great painting too!👍
I have a question… the painting u did (it’s beautiful btw) what is the molecular structure/formula of the objects that you painted/drew ? That’s a mathematical scientific question ( it’s ok I don’t know ) and while interesting and factual, you … and hopefully me , see the finished complex beautiful product , perfect in its form , which immediately leads to the question can I imitate that on paper ? So it’s not surprising that the natural world inspires 😊need more of it . Great idea on the walk .
No surprise here...only a little over 100 years ago all artists had to observe the "natural" world...there were no easy to use or access cameras. Technology has been the worst thing to happen to artists in forever, made almost everyone over dependent on it to the detriment of natural observation and techniques.

Oh what about that sunrise? I have no idea how to do a cloud sky drawing (yet) . In the future could you help us with that? Thanks
I was planning exactly that! because I also wondered, how would i suggest a sunrise/sunset as a drawing without much shading
Thank you for this video . Your exploration snd curiosity is inspiring. Can i ask what was the pen you used to sketch the tree at first?
Thanks Christine! I think it’s a pentel brush pen.

There was a French writer who said something like “everything important has already been discovered, we just need reminders of it”
