That's a happy life! The knowledge of the master Ernest Götsch and the brazilian amerindians spreading around the globe. Wonderful. Congratulations for the job that you make in this system. A big hug from Brazil.
I'm Brazilian, and I'm happy to see Syntropic Agriculture being practiced in other places. Ernst Götsch loves Brazil. He lives here, in South Bahia, and developed a lot of techniques, learning with our exuberant forests. ❤
Esos camaleones son exóticos, de África o Madagascar. El contenido de Nitrógeno de la Tithonia baja cuando la dejan echar flores. ¿Y no emplean Vetiver?
I tried growing Gliricidia and Tithonia as chop and drop plants, but turns out they are "chop and drop and grow back" plants. Got tired of having to yank out all the regrowing cuttings right up against my trees so I've been phasing these out in favor of plants that actually die when you drop them.
Oh yeah some plants like to grow back from the cuttings touching the ground. Something you can do is just collect all the dropped cutting and make a big pile somewhere of them where you don’t mind them regrowing (and eventually drying out since they’re all stacked on top of each other). Wade talked about how he does this in the video we made of his place a few months ago (Malama Aina in the thumbnail)
How often do you get the mexican sunflower growing back from the chop and drop cuttings you lay down as mulch? I just mulched our banana patch with a giant bush of it we had and almost every piece grew so I had to weed whack it all down lol
If you are using thick pieces they will most likely always come up if it is wet enough. Thin green pieces generally do not regrow. I will probably do a video about this plant at some point because it is such a powerful plant if used right. The problem is it gets a bad name because people dont realize how easily it can get out of control.

Aloha, started watching you again recently, so ❤Congratulations on your beautiful baby!
Prune the branches, let them breathe,
For in this cutting, life will weave.
Roots grow deeper, skies expand,
Closer to nature, take your stand. 🌿

@@OffGridHawaii alright thanks, looking forward to it :)
Do you guys have citrus greening out there in Hawaii? Florida it's becoming impossible to grow citrus and I heard the same in California.
So far I think we are safe
That end was adorable 🍌😆 🥰

From now on I will refer to that as the banana butt.

So funny; I've called that part the "banana butt" for as long as I can remember...I really did think it was just me! 😀
