    I really appreciate this video. I am brand new to all of the pour techniques. I just recently discovered it. I haven’t tried it yet but am ready to and have been trying to figure out everything that I would need. The torch was my biggest question. I didn’t understand what exactly it was. I finally get it. You explained and showed everything that that I needed. I’m now ready to get the last of my supplies and do my first pour. Thank you so much.🎨🥰💕

      I wonder if there is a way you could narrow the vent of the hair dryer.. i bought a hair dryer once that had a lot of heat blowing with a high amount of air. I am wondering if it was a heat gun because it looked just like what you had. If I wanted a face lift and all my hair burnt it was perfect for that

    Thank you for posting. Helpful. After watching several videos on heat guns, I am going to try it out. Again, thank you. I do know they make heat guns with variable temperatures, variable fan speeds, and digital displays. After watching other videos, seems like way to go is get a controllable heat gun. In most videos heat guns are easier to get big vs small cells. Torches seem to go small, but that also depends on type of flame from torch.

    • @trevorwesterdahl6245
      @trevorwesterdahl6245 3 года назад

    What did you have on your canvas to start with did you have it already painted white or did you put it on a plain canvas or did you possibly just put plain white paint on the whole surface of the canvas before you started beautiful colors thank you for sharing

    So since the paint is going to be thinned out, anyway, would regular acrylic paints work with this, or do you need the flow acrylics in order to achieve the cool effects?

    • @MixedMediaGirl
      @MixedMediaGirl  7 лет назад +1

      +Michelle Reckner regular acrylics work perfectly fine, these are just the ones I prefer. I'll do a video on that coming up :)

  • @artiegatsby4879

    Unrelated, but are the like... Edges of the canvas, like... Thinner? I mean. Can you see canvas around the edges where the paint runs off? Almost all of mine have thin edges and I'm wondering if I'm mixing the paint too thin or if that's just what gravity does to the edges... I don't mean like. The flat sides. I'm talking about where the canvas wraps around the wood... And if that's just something that happens, what do you suggest to pretty up the sides/edges of the canvas, if anything?

    • @MixedMediaGirl
      @MixedMediaGirl  7 лет назад +1

      +Artie Gatsby I feel like maybe it doesn't absorb as well somehow, I don't mind it but you could try pre-painting the edges, maybe that will help :)

    Can you talk about your ventilation ? We have been pour painting and using a torch. I noticed we have all been feeling extremely tired and other symptoms mentioned as a cause of lack of ventilation from off gassing in a small space. I’m just wondering the safest and best way to do this in a small space? Is a smaller torch preferable and or safer than a larger craft torch with a larger tank?

      Paint has to be correct thickness (mix with something like Floetrol and water). Cells are enhanced, or won't even show up with some paints, without glue or silicon/oil added to paint. Plenty of videos on how to make cells.

    Hoping that someone running across this can answer a question for me! How can I find the link to this video? I want to share it in a post I already wrote; that's why I didn't share directly from RUclips. TIA. I don't know if that violates any rule or policy, but if it does please tell me and I'll take it down, or the admin can take it down. 😃
