YOU ARE BRILLIANT THE WAY YOU FIX PEOPLES CLOTHES. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK...DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED AND QUIT. THIS IS SO INTERESTING. AND I DONT EVEN SEW OR WEAR FANCY CLOTHES. I LOVE YOUR HONEST APPROACH

Lovely, my client wants a fuller front on her mermaid skirt so I wondered if slashing it like normal side fronts and inserting Godets in will work?

How much fabric did you use/need to create the godets? It’s hard to gauge how long and wide the triangles are (or how wide the entire circle is that creates the triangles). I do need to alter a gown with this same concept, so knowing how much I’ll need would be a great help!!

I kind of eyeballed it. For reference the godet piece in my Mermaid Pattern ( madebykarenm.etsy.com/listing/735944846) is about 40” long, but the ones I used here were smaller I think. Even just a yard can be helpful!
