I have 2 goals this off-season: 1) throw further on my distance drives. 2) Qualify for the 2024 NADGC. I've been watching the pros' form at the dgpt events I've attended...taking video at many tees. The biggest takeaway for me...I have to speed up the throws.
Seriously, the camera work and poor quality make this really hard to enjoy. What's the point of watching If you can't watch the flight of the disc, that's what we're here for! Live disc golf really needs to fix this, especially with the quality and popularity of the post produced rounds being put out, for free mind you. DGN raised their prices, but why? The camera literally froze during Paige's pre-round interview, and that was in studio!! 😳
Yeah, unable to show a pre-recorded interview.. pixelation everywhere, choppy fps, sound muting, random noise in the audio, some really bad camera angles, advertisements all the time and million other things and they expect ppl to pay? nope, not gonna watch this to the end even for free
It's what happens when you are reliant on cell networks in the woods. It won't change until disc golf has millions to spend year after year on running a proper OB unit or the coverage is sold to ESPN or similar. Years away.
The first round isn't comprised of a lead card. In post one feature card will be filmed by Jomez and the other by Ace Run Productions I believe. Seen to past performance the feature card with Paige Pierce and Sarah Hokom is more stacked. Also Bloomroos smashes and Hayley is sought after since shes not played all that much but is also a Major winner.) Also maybe only determined by a drunken cointoss ;)
I don't understand why I pay the monthly DGN fees, so I can watch coverage that looks like it was recorded with a cellphone from 1998. I'm getting vertigo watching this damned thing blur out CONSTANTLY. Every minute you get about 10 seconds of really good picture, 20 seconds of 1985 rabbit ear antenna color television picture, and 30 seconds of severe concussion, while drunk, during an earthquake picture. I was hoping it was my end, so I came back later to watch it on RUclips. Nope. Not me. Crappy overpriced signal. Three years I've been doing this, and even though the price has gone up and the coverage has gotten better, the signal still SUCKS.
