I took up tee work in 2017 and it not only salvaged my game but made my hitting substantially better. People who criticized/laughed at my tee work ended up retiring from the game because their games declined so badly.
We use my buddy’s Corndog at one of our leagues when we run out of HRs!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I always have either the Corndog or some crazy old singlewall when I go to men's league just for fun :)
Love seeing people share their process. Too many of these channels just go out and hit bombs, but don't show the work it takes to make that happen. Keep up the great content, swing is looking great!
right?! for every bomb on camera, there are probably 10+ hits with the tee off camera. You guys inspired this one, love your off-season stuff, always working.
@@BatFlipBP Offseason? Pushing 7 decades on the planet's surface quietly sneak in tee work few hours on Sundays
Evils suck mine went mush and contacted evil they wouldn't answer me
Yeah I have heard that this latest batch of balls have not been good. Chatting with Bob he is very much aware of the situation and has recently taken back control of production to get the standards back where they should be. Sorry, you had a bad experience though.
WAGON ... indispensable
Solid setup and break down! Putting in the reps is key!
countless reps! I'll go through that whole bag twice if I have the time. You saw how many balls are in there... and that was the small bag! LOL!
Practice, practice, practice. We'll said.
You had me at “stay hard forever”😂
Good to see how you get your work in. Thanks for sharing what products that you use! Always helping others, and we appreciate it!
Ohhhhh snap!!! What about that wonderful Back Spin Tee!!! Great video as always!!!
You got a good swing . A long swing is what works for Slo pitch
Yeah it has evolved like crazy since my baseball days!
@@BatFlipBP you generate a lot of inertia
Omg thank you, I have been seeing those stinger gloves but had no clue what brand until now. I run through gloves and want something better. Do you use any tacky on yours?
Any time! I've got a discount code to if you pick some up BATFLIPBP. I don't use tack, I rewrap all my bats with Head Extreme Soft tennis grip and it has a tacky feel of it's own.
@BatFlipBP awesome will be using your code for sure. If you don't mind me asking do you have advice for some good turf shoes. I've only ever wore cleats but several fields I go to now have turf so I want something lighter.
@@NotCreative479 I've been wearing trail running shoes for years now. I have some Nike Pegasus trails for my game shoes right now. The ones in the this video or just some waffle runners. This is my favorite site for checking out different options: runrepeat.com/catalog/trail-running-shoes
@@BatFlipBP used your code and offer some stuff including the batting gloves. Thanks again
@@NotCreative479 nice man! Enjoy!
Less moving in your swing while loading and you’ll get better results.
Yeah it’s something I am always trying to work on. I’ve had the wiggles waiting to swing since I was a little kid so it’s a hard habit to break. In fact i literally worked on trying to stay still this morning 😁
Any weight lifting exercises that help with hitting more homeruns? Or do you think it’s 99% technique?
oh I'm sure there are tons of great exercises you can do to help out, but I'm not the one with that knowledge. I'll admit I don't do any lifting or strength training so I have to rely on technique. If you are looking for lifting advice hit up Lyf Nimmo, I'm sure he would have a ton of great knowledge on the topic. All I know is that I drive through the ball with my lower half and that's where I generate the most power.
Great video! Any thoughts/recommendations on batting grip (overlap, traditional, somewhere in between)?
I personally overlap 2 fingers. I started out with a traditional box grip but worked on how many I could overlap comfortably and ended up preferring 2. You get the benefits of the extra whip but still maintain decent bat control. If a bat swings light I tend to drop a pinky off the knob too just to add a little more whip to the end.
This video has been very helpful! If you ever try a jimmer stick I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
Not yet. I do want to try one though.
Great video
Gotta love the corndog
Where did you get your MPH tracker for the ball?
It’s the Pocket Radar Smarty Coach. There should be a link to their website and the radar in the description of the video if you expand it.
Nice tips Brother
#StingerSports best batting gloves around
For the price point… 100%!
Great video! That’s an awesome swing! I’d love to see a breakdown of how you build whip and momentum through the swing.
Appreciate it! I have always just imagined I’m a spring. I pre-load by pulling my hands even further back and then once I take my step I release the energy from the bottom up with my hands coming through last and the snapping my wrist through the ball. Watch videos of the pros, they have way better swings. Denny Crine is my favorite hitter ever, just effortless.
Thanks again, I’ll check out Denny. It would be great to see how you built up the different parts of your swing. It’s awesome momentum and speed!
The code for the evil BP balls didn't work
Sorry there is a typo in the video, I tried to fix it in the description, gotta put a space in there so it’s “FAT GUY” that should work!
@@BatFlipBP thanks. It worked.
Good setup if by yourself but IMO nothing beats taking live BP
Live BP is always way more fun, but I do love some good tee work. I can hit 150+ balls in like 1.5 hours
@@BatFlipBP Yeah, agreed - tee work allows me to focus and experiment without wasting others' time - a bit zen too
@@jrey6186 I love tee work, and it's definitely zen. When the camera isn't out, I put on some chill music and just relax. It's my mental therapy time.
👍💯
Have you always had that much movement, like bat waggle, in your setup or was that something you consciously developed to help you get more bat speed? I've seen a lot of swing technique type videos (mostly ken van bogart) recommending not doing that, but it doesn't seem to be affecting your results, you're getting pretty consistently solid contact and level line drive hits.
Honestly, it’s something I’ve done from childhood. I’m sure it doesn’t help.
@@BatFlipBP I could see how if you practiced it a ton it could get you to a better lag if you end up with the motion going backward before you rotate, looks like you got it figured out, I was just curious.
@@joshhanselman7618 yeah, I do know that in my load up I pull my hands back as I take my step forward. I also keep my hands very high compared to what Ken teaches. It’s really about finding what works for you. I have gained many tips watching Ken, especially adding the wrist snap. Just gotta put in the reps, luckily I find hitting off a tee super fun so it never feels tedious.
@@BatFlipBP Same! I've just now been getting into it these last couple seasons
@@BatFlipBPfor the wrist snap do you start the snap right when you start rotating forward or is it even later in the swing?
Thank you for this! I needed to see this 👏🏼🙌🏼
I got my daughter a camwood bat for tee work, she's in HS fastpitch. I found using that for BP works great as well and I'm not worried about breaking my mad hatter and it was only 99$
i've seen those a bunch on Facebook. I might have to give it a looksy
