It wasn't rain. It was the sky crying.
well said! 😥
Even here in São Paulo the skies are grey and it cooled down a bit... Yesterday it was hot and sunny!
Well said!!!
No it’s me crying
@@paulwiner7202 It's everyone crying
Was lucky enough to see one of these from my house in Cardiff flying into land at St. Athan. Managed to get a decent pic of her also 👍
Please share!
@@skedyt yeah Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Like ghost ships drifting off into the mists of time.
Love it
Our skies just won't be the same without these two beauties. Will miss them immensely. 🇬🇧✈
You will be remembered British Airways 747
history has been told
Just about managed to catch the departure at school :D. Stream lagged out as soon as it started moving, then came back again just before she disappeared into the clouds. Oh well, at least we can still rewatch it. End of an era ❤️
I had the pleasure of of flying to Jamaica and back in 1985.
Sat upstairs for the 9.50 hrs flight.Totally enjoyed the flight there and back.
What a great plane, gone but not for gotten. You have done your time Have a rest now.
Love you so much. ♥️♥️♥️
This is a sad day........ good bye Queen of the Sky. Nice memories went loads of places in them.
Sad to see this. I became cabin crew on 747s in 1974, just before BOAC and BEA became British Airways. I flew all over the world; an amazing and wonderful job - though the most exacting and exhausting one I've ever had (and I was only 21). The demands of the job coupled with constant jet lag, is crippling. Those people who think that all cabin crew do is serve coffee are very ignorant - not only of the job but also all of the safety routines and location of safety equipment needed in the event of an emergency. What a beautiful bird she was. Rarely gave problems - it was like flying in a hotel. Many years later a friend took me up in his small private plane and I was cr*pping myself. Give me the robustness and stability of a jumbo any day. I was very lucky to have had the opportunity of flying on her. R.I.P lovely girl.
Still think they’re missing a trick. Keep one or two 747’s back and give people the choice. Maybe on the busiest long haul routs give people the choice to Pay a little extra and you can fly on the 747. People would be queueing to get on them. I think BA and Virgin should at least do a bit of market research. It could end up being their most profitable service.
Just a though or maybe it’s just me daydreaming to keep the Queen alive!
i would wait and pay more to get on there
Honestly they wouldn't make much money off of that. We make up a small percentage of the population. Most normal people care if the airline is safe and cheap. It would basically be like a Concorde after that. So its either they run it like a normal plane or retire it. It's sad but it just makes the most sense to retire the plane.
I'd give anything right now to fly on one again, I first flew on a korean air 747, but I was like 6-7 years old then, so I don't remember much about it.
I never had a chance to fly one.
A day to remember 🛫
Yes well said 😭😢😞
Long live the Queen!
That brief moment when you think this video is being presented by Jurgen Klopp.
The most loved aircraft of all time by passengers to this very day... The classic 747 and the A380 are by far the most comfortable aircraft to fly in for long-haul, have 4 engines for better redundancy, and are not problematic like some of 2 engine variants we see coming out today... So what do the airlines do.... They get rid of them. All in the name of better fuel efficiency.
I'm going to go visit the Landor 747 at Kemble soon. Can't Wait :-)
You mean the Negus (G-CIVB)? I thought the Landor (G-BNLY) was still at Cardiff?
I hope they preserve that and BOAC
@@aviationlba747 Ye the negus
@@rajnirvan3336 yes 1 will be preserved
Thanks so much for filming this Jerry
The queen of the skies!!!❤️ love love love the Boeing 747!!
This is a moment to never forget in aviation history.
Farewell queen of the skies
A sad day for aviation fans indeed
Beautiful machines farewell
I only have one flight on a BA 747; in 1988 I flew ANC-LHR. It was one of the most luxurious and comfortable flights I have been on. My cousins in Seattle built the 747, and we will all be sad to see the type fly their last segments. Thanks for this great video!
A great aircraft for a great airline.I will miss the 747-436s, like all the 747s, masterpieces of engineering.I pressed on the like button, but I'm sad to see those aircraft leaving the fleets...Ciao JumboJet
Absolute 'Swans of the Sky'. So beautiful. So clean. So Majestic. (And with the perfect livery. A classic design. Right up there with PanAm and TWA.)
Farewell Queen, departing in all her glory and beauty! Sad day.
Good Bye Beautiful and as hard as Boeing try they will NEVER replace you the Goddess and the most majestic Ship ever built RIP HRH
Haven't had the chance to fly on them. This is truly heart breaking. My heart will always be with the 747!!
Farewell G-CIVB and G-CIVY :(
Yes :( :( :(
When they departed it rained. Tears from heaven. 😢😢
The big beautiful bird, the 4 engines queen of the skies, Born in 1968, the first wide body jet, the jumbo jet .The first airplane to fly London-Sydney non-stop. The 747 jumbo jet will remain the queen of the skies for many years. 😘😘 👑
This shows the sky has feelings, it’s sad and I’m sad too for the retirement of the jumbo jet
Would have been cool to keep one for pleasure flights.
Ah Jerry, brilliant at what you do. A sad day. But we have many, many bright days ahead we hope. Keep singing brother.
Couldn't be there for the stream so thanks for putting this little video together
I can't help but feel they are going to regret scrapping the one that did the fly past because this was a moment in aviation history.
Nice to see G-CIVB getting some attention again even if it is last flight. Lucky enough to fly on her back from Vegas last year with the negus livery on.
Oh, jeez, I think I've got something in me eye here.....😢😢
Very very sad although I did fly with her from Chicago to London Heathrow in 2019 awesome
So goddam beautiful.
Goodbye beauties.
I was lucky enough to fly on just 1 747, and that was last year with Virgin Atlantic, going from Manchester to Atlanta, GA.
I can't be the only one tearing up here....
Just so amazing to see so sad
goooooodbye Ill never forget
Can you please live stream this Sunday 11th October between the hours of 4pm and 6pm? Subbed thanks
When you can't make it on the day. You can rely on Jerry to bring the day to you 👀💪👌👍 Albeit a day of sadness for aviation ✈💔👑
We came over from Holland summer 2019 to catch these birds, sad to see them flying out now. Big Like for Big Jet TV 👌🤳
With no load nor passengers, take off was immediate.... sadly....!
Although I live near Leeds, I retuned my TV to the London area programmes and managed to catch your interview on BBC London this evening. Shame to see the 747's go.
I come back to this video sometimes, but every time I do.. SOMEONE is in the comments cutting onions…☹️
i think they should keep some of them after all variety is the spice of life
Very sad but nice video
Farewells 747
Probably about time.
Speedbird, we thank you.
It's makes me more sad, seeing that one of the 747 was in the Negus Retro British Airways livery..
Edit: At least the Negus Retro one was preserved...
Hello, do you have any idea on the fate of G-BNLY (if you are not aware the G-BYGC BOAC will be transported to St Athan to be kept), delivering the Landor to its fate.
Your on Britain’s busiest airport 😁😁
I never had a chance to fly one.
😭😭😭
Neither did I.😭
Great video we will miss them
Very sad day indeed. Will miss seeing them on United LHR overnights.
Fair well to the Queen of the skies. U can hear her crying
******good morning 🙏🙏 Big Jet TV ( Jerry and Gilly sir )I am a big fan of your chennel.i regularly watching your channel. Jambo one of my fav aircrafts.******
🙏🙏🌹🌹🇮🇳🌹🌹🙏🙏
First they took away Concorde and now the 747. Unfortunately BA have joined the realms of airline mediocrity. A sad day indeed.
Well said 😢😳😞😞😭😭
Please go live now! AI to Kolkata departing!
A sad day indeed, I will no longer be able to see these beautiful bird's stacking up on Saturday morning waiting to go into Heathrow. Can't we the Aviation lovers get something together to have a 777 painted up in retro livery ? How cool would that be ? Thoughts ?

Was lucky to fly SFO - AMS last may with my wife on two of KLM’s Queen’s. Absolutely magnificent!
i wish british airways was more considerate and had put the event on the weekend rather than on a school day 😥😥😥. i would've loved too have seen this rather than sitting in a classroom crying about the 747 retirement.
Looks like Liverpool manager 🤣
Could they not run with two GE 9x engines instead of 4 ??
Somebody should be playing the Last Post.
I was about to fly on one in September from LHR to San Francisco but had to cancel due to covid😭😭
If only it was a clear day. Queen ends her reign.
Were these plane going for scrap or to be made into cargo planes? Thanks again for the video's.
goodbye Queen of the skies :(
So sad to see all of the British Airways Boeing 747-400s go!
Fuel efficient planes taking over A350s and 777x soon
KLF 5454 Yep
Why are they bring abandoned tho?
I wish they could have had a parallel deparutre rw 27/9 L/R together and had some Ariel and drone photography and video. Also wish the weather was better for this special bht sad moment
It's such a sad moment.
Can’t believe on the last flight they do a derated takeoff should have gone full power
Is it normal to cry at this?
Where everyone cried
This just had 747 views. So sad.
why not scale down the engines a bit after all they say they can run on 2 engines instead of getting rid of the whole plane
Thanks for that, so poignant 😢
Crying crying

@@Dowager666 that makes it triply sad!
Killed by a virus. Sad to see the end of these
Bye bye Big girl
:(
Aviation is getting super boring. Whilst the new planes are very fuel efficient, my lord are they boring to look at.
Airbus is better, who cares about 747
Here comes the haters
Good riddance.less pollution
Very sad to watch :(
