Idk who dictates the guests, but I LOVE that Delta’s guests aren’t the same girls we see everywhere from drag race. We get to see guests that have never been on the show or girls that don’t get the recognition they deserve. And then Delta is just as sweet and lovely to every single one.
Yes! Between this show and Give It To Me Straight it's very refreshing to not see Tr*xie and K*tya or just the winners/most popular girls over and over and over And not to discredit Trixie or even whoever decides guests for the Pit Stop, this season a lot of the quests have been queens who've never done it before so that's nice.
@@zyongli5760 I just love that Delta treats them all the same. It sounds stupid, but I love it so much. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that her and Maddy don’t just focus on the show. They touch on it, but they focus more on the queens’ lives outside the show.
So love Phoenix mixing it up. The absolute OWNER of Atlanta drag…S3 didn’t even scratch the surface with her. Such a workhorse and so damn involved in every aspect of the business. Talk about someone that deserves another run in the “modern times” of DR!
I could not agree with you more about the drag show etiquette! You Americans don’t know how blessed you are to have Amazing shows everywhere. Melbourne Australia has next to none, all the drag bars are closing down.
❤thank you Delta for going off❣️ I’ve been a working queen for over ten years and I do not understand audience shyness or not paying attention. Even when I’m attending or watching other performers I’ll always scream for them and clap, which then signals others to join in. It’s like they’re afraid to be the first one to clap. So weird.
God bless Delta barking at people with two bucks to tip. But, also, a rational response to anyone who expects you to perform tricks or respond to their barking.
If you don’t have money to attend a performance then don’t attend, watch drag online. But live shows demand audience engagement. That’s common sense and respect. Performers need to make money and rely on tips, but not only that, expect people in the audience to act like they are there on purpose and at very least clap upon stage entrances and exits.
RIP Mr. Charlie brown. Phoenix mentioned them in regards to her time at backstreet in this episode and unfortunately we lost them last night. It's a sad day in the ATL drag community. Rest well icon.
Don't fck with me fellas'! I've loved drag since I was 15 yrs old in 95' at Connections nightclub in Louisville, KY. It had the largest drag show & stage in the US at the time. The OG Symone (backflip goddess), Mokha Montrese, Amirage, Domanique Shapelle, The hostess with the mostest Hurricane Summers put on shows from 1988 to 2015. If I saw anyone disrespect my Queens they would get curb stomped out front. It was all about love & beautiful shade. I miss those days sneaking in through the kitchen as a young gay kid. It shaped me into the person I am today. I miss that club. I million memories of all kinds.
Backstreets in ATL across from the Armory. That's where i saw my first go-go boy b-hole. It was a crazy night. Charlie Brown's FIVE HOUR drag show was an all night affair! That was when clubs were fun, low down and crazy.
Delta!! Go off!! Thank you for this monologue (well all of them really) but important messaging to put out there because drag is one of THE highest art forms and all performers should be shown the appreciation and admiration they deserve. You are one of my all time favourite queens and so thankful for this weekly Delta fix! Thank you for always being you and keeping it so very Delta real. You truly are amazing and we’re so lucky to have you and the content you put out 💗💗
AGREE AGREE AGREE! Theatre etiquette has gone out the window and smashed into shit…. I recently stopped performing as a singer in production shows (not even drag) for that reason! No engagement, no appreciation, and no investment in the entertainment being provided live on stage!!!! Real shame 😔 Love the show delta. Thanks 🙏 x
I stripped for many years and the waving a dollar and a customer asking “what are you gonna do for it” “here’s a dollar, I’ll give it to you if you _____” was some of the most dehumanizing thing someone could do. Happens too often in both fields unfortunately. I’m a human, not a show monkey. A single dollar can’t even buy a pack of gum anymore and it’s basically saying you think my time, investment, talent, and sweat isn’t good enough for even that. Quickest way get me to hate you
"Butch Heroes". I need a list of all the books featured on Delta's desk 🔶 edit: I have noticed the lack of applause. I guess I just come across as psychotic because I cheer 😅
Delta I think what you’re experiencing is not endemic to your particular area but it’s all over the country. The other day I saw a bike messenger get hit by a taxi on 43rd and 2nd and everyone just stood around (most on their phones) like a bunch of Stepford wives. I’m a native NYker with some EMS training so I ran out to check on the kid, who was fortunately ok. Now, I remember seeing similar situations here in the 80s and 90s but the reaction this time was totally different, there was no reaction whatsoever! I personally think it’s a matter of everyone becoming totally numb and isolated by 4 years of covid (I know some older folks still reluctant to leave their house.) It’s also the influence of “virtual reality” where people can’t discern fantasy from what’s actually happening, which is scary in and of itself. I’m no social analyst but I do hope everyone gets a handle on it soon. At least you see it too.
omg i would love to organize drag queens spaces that would be a dream come true being an ENFP & done that for many people = drag queens would be the BEST to help organize their drag spaces 💚💚💚🌈✅

The DR girls just bring the views tho

I've often said the same!!!! They're always so interesting and fun to hear discuss their life. I
I love the queens, they give such different perspectives
I’d listen to a 24/7 Delta podcast
Literally same
Same
She'd kill a 24hr stream
Let her sleep bb!!!!
Delta, thank you for including a copy of "Butch Heroes" by Ria Brodell on your desk. We appreciate your support! Sending love from The MIT Press!
Whenever delta has a book displayed, I usually buy it.
So love Phoenix mixing it up. The absolute OWNER of Atlanta drag…S3 didn’t even scratch the surface with her. Such a workhorse and so damn involved in every aspect of the business. Talk about someone that deserves another run in the “modern times” of DR!
R+R spoke highly of her in their early FPR days, when you got THEIR respect that speaks volumes
Just wow. Phoenix and Delta are FABULOUS.
It was so nice to get an update from Phoenix! I love these guests who we don't get to hear from often.
I LOVE the guests Delta has on the show. So good to see Phoenix again
Phoenix’s voice is simply divine
Get the shoes baby, GET THE SHOES!

I would watch 50 different Delta podcasts a week. I pine for a Delta eating/review show akin to review brah/report of the week.
I always think about the moment he walked in the room with the same look as India Farrah. “Prison Honey”
So, so good
Why does she sound like she has something in her mouth at all times
phoenix is so sweet and humble. love to see her again
I love phoenix, you can see the comrades between her and delta soooooo natural and beautiful friends conversation
RIP Mr. Charlie brown. Phoenix mentioned them in regards to her time at backstreet in this episode and unfortunately we lost them last night. It's a sad day in the ATL drag community. Rest well icon.

My family is from Prestonsburg, and I am planning to visit there, where can I find drag in Louisville?!?!
@@CharmCityQween Play Louisville
I LOVE listening to Delta and Phoenix chat, they have such an effortless chemistry and you can tell they genuinely enjoy each other's company
my first drag show -1997 Talbot St Indianapolis…my friend Tara dactyl would perform. Think Hairspray mixed with Carol Burnett. I miss that bar.
Dreaming of the day I can see Delta live, whoop it up and give some good tips!!

Real shame 😔
Love the show delta. Thanks 🙏 x
8:10 Your audience has not been taught basic decorum for theater goers. They live and watch their world on their cellphonetelephones. Respect. ❤
19:03 the first time I heard this and then heard people call it this was after Beauty Shop and DJ Helen referring to Atlanta as hot-lanta
so shocked to find out me and phoenix share a birthday lmaoo!!
phoenix for all stars 10
Manners, also great electricity visuals like the witch from Super Girl are amazing, Faye Dunaway is that not you?
It’s my kick start of the week 🔥😍

MOM needs to make an eric andre style sketch comedy show featuring beloved talented drag performers with Delta Work as the host
For crying out, loud tip, the dolls!

it could be called: Drag Me To Being Organized 🤣🤣🤣
Phoenix got some legs.
Phoenix is stunning
I love how they didn't speak about DR at all & how Delta won their lipsync LOL! Iconic.
I would easily turn around and go home if there’s no parking and be oh so cool about it! I guess I’m very Delta, then! ❤ Big hug from Brazil 🇧🇷
