Very helpful. I'm generally a cheerful person, but I also don't like conflict. Also, thanks for the check list for setting up for a bazaar. Pretty much got everything together for this weekend. Thanks!
I've watched every market vlog video, and I really appreciate that you've shared the bad days as well as the good. I do markets every weekend from May- December. Sales have been terrible since mid-September. I'm still making money, just not what I'm used to making. I started to feel like it was just me. Thank you for being real about the ups and downs. ❤
Camryn… kudos to you, my friend!!! 18 -way-too-low-for-me-degrees for 6 hours(?)? 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 GIRL!!! I couldn’t do it! Living in Texas these days is been pure heat 🥵 and wind 🌬️, with some rain 🌧️ but not the cold 🥶. Congrats 🎊🎉 on your 2023 Fall Season.❤
I have watched every single market vlog, as soon as they came out. I've had so much fun watching these vlogs!!! It's so much fun to crochet while watching these. I can't wait till next year!!! Thanks for sharing these!😁
Your positivity is infectious, even though it was so chilly you showed up when most probably stayed home. That rocks. Congrats on the sales you did make!
I have watched all your videos. You’re fun and so upbeat. I did my first market last Sunday and had fun. It was slow but I still did okay. I used your checklist and with your help, I was well prepared. Keep up the encouraging words to all us newbies.
Great job this season Camryn! Your determination and persistence is inspiring! The first craft show I ever did was outside in May, and it was like, 20 degrees outside and windy. And then at the very end of the show my canopy blew over and crashed into a tree behind us . . . EVEN THOUGH we had weights! It was a fairly well-attended show though, just wet and extremely cold! Cold craft shows are miserable! Great job sticking through an exhausting season! 😊
I have watched every market vlog! I love them so much! They are so interesting and entertaining! I can’t wait to watch more vlogs coming up this season! 💗
I've watched every blog. I love watching them because I feel a little comradery as I've been going through my first season as a crochet vendor. Your set up is always so beautiful and inspirational
Thank you! I'm always so glad to have you along with me :) It's very exciting you're going through your first season! I'd love to hear how it all goes for you :)
I watched all of them and they were great and very informative. I am brand new at all of this. I am listing my first items to sell on Etsy this week and went to my first market a couple of weeks ago, so lots of your tips were very handy. I sell mostly mosaic items. I appreciate all of these videos. Thank You
Fingertip free gloves. Wool is best. Will save your hands, at least a little. Put a grip on the hook and you will be able to crochet. I crochet. I'm also a bookkeeper. I use the same gloves for both crochet and bookkeeping. Give them a try.
I think I have watched every video from this season and thanks to you, I am getting all the business things I need to start next year! Eek! Thanks for taking us along! ❤
This video reminds me of a show we did down in PA this spring. Since we were going 200 miles south of our location, both my husband and I figured it would be warmer there (by our daughter's house). Neither of us packed a winter coat. Temperatures dipped down into the teens. Wind chill was in negative digits. The show was inside, but unloading / loading the car was a bone-chilling experience! Here in the Buffalo area, the latest I would do an outside show is early October. I did one October 1 last year, and my toes were frozen!
I loved this whole series of vlogs you did, and yes, I did watch all of them lol They're perfect to listen to while just chilling and making inventory!
I've watched every single vlog and loved watching and getting tips and seeing a behind the scenes. I'm getting ready to do my first craft show this Saturday and your vlogs are definitely helpful.
I have watched every episode !! Love them all 🥰. You are so dedicated (or a little crazy) to show in such cold weather. I love your mini setup. I’m prepping for my first 2-day show😬. See you soon 🥰
I'm pretty sure I caught all your vlogs for this season ❤ really encouraged me to keep trying with shows. I sell stamped jewelry but I made hens cause they kind of go with my vibe and I wasn't going to keep going next year but I think I should hold steady and keep trying!
I’m sure that was miserable but you always have a great attitude! It is a joy to watch your videos. 🥰 Two questions: How much of each ingredient did you put in your matcha latte? 😃 Do you share your Christmas tree pattern?
I recently purchased your beanie pattern and would love the headband pattern, especially the measurements for the different sizes. Any chance you will be adding that pattern?
I watch every vlog!! I am having my first craft show thiss saturday 11.11.23 :) I do crochet and clay! Love the tips and stuff from you, just seeing helps me a lot!
@@camryns_cute_creations It went really well! I surpassed all of my goals! I never would have guessed what was going to sell though. I am still in the hole for all of my expenses, but made back over half from just this market :)
You’re so cute and fun to watch! I am a crocheter as well (not as good as you, but practicing) I have a 9 month old grand daughter and another coming in December. Do you sell your patterns. I would love to try my hand at making them both a stocking hat. I need to get some velvet yarn though. I usually stick with acrylic yarn. 😍 thank you for being an inspiration and so lively!
I do have several patterns for sale on my website! Otherwise, I have the links to many other people's patterns which I make, if you ever want to know them!
Hi Camryn! I love your work and videos. I did think this though, you have lovely hats on your display, why not wear one of them? It would keep you a little warmer and model your items!
Hey Camryn! Great video! It looks sooooo cold!!!! Can you share the pattern you use to make your Christmas trees? They are just too cute and I really want to make one for my little girls bedroom!! xxx
Thank you for your time and sharing your markets with us, I did watch them all, I'm lucky if I make my table cost of £10 back when I do markets😢 so I have kinda given up, I have a Christmas 1 to do in Dec so I hope I do better
Simce you mentioned both lower sales but selling out if items as well, did you find that you sold more of those items than last year, which is why didn’t have enough inventory or did customers buy different items than last year ( like the chickens which are new)? Would love to see a video on your process of evaluating what you will make for next season/drop from your inventory and how you anticipate sales trends.
That is a great idea for a video! Thank you! I would honestly say part of it is due to lower inventory preparation, in the sense that I was not restocking as much as last year mid-season. For this year, I more so created an initial inventory that I expected would carry me through the season. Of course, I cannot completely predict the buying habits of customers, so while some items certainly did get shopped to the point of running out of some, other items did not have the same result. So, overall, I did see lower sales, but those sales were more concentrated on certain items, like the chickens!
Watched all your videos and loved them , took onboard lots of tips and ideas you have given us , omg how cold did it look there, 😮 I’ve stated prepping for my Christmas season and should be all ready by Friday , can I ask where did u get the fold up wooden shelf display thing from plz xx
I was basically forced to retire 3 years ago due to work related injury. Ten 10 months of rehab...THEN Covid hit. What to do with your time during the winter when you can't play in your garden and flowerbeds. So, I picked up my knitting and crocheting. Now, what to do with all my "stuff". Kids said to sell on esty or some online thing. So.... I'm just about ready for my first craft show. I'm excited and also terrified, all at the same time. Although I like my product and what I've created, I'm also worried that people will think it's dumb, useless clutter. Any words of encouragement would be helpful.
I totally understand the anxiety, especially before your first show! But, I am so excited for and proud of you for starting this journey of selling at markets :) What you have to remember is that your items are made for a specific type of person - the person you envision when you think of who they are made for. Your goal is to find the people who fit that description, because they are the ones who will rush up to your work and smile with joy at your work! There are many people who walk by my products without even considering them, but ultimately they are not the people my work is marketed towards!
LOVE watching YOU!! 🥰 It's been super helpful as I start this venture!! I live in Phoenix so I've got the polar opposite as we are going INTO our outdoor season LOL! I did 2 markets in Octoboer, the first one was tolerable but the second one was soooooooo HOTTTTT!!! I literally sweated the whole time AND didn't sell ANYTHING :( won't be doing that one again! Love you giiirrrlll!!!
Oh my gosh! I imagine the weather challenges there are tooootally different from ours! Please keep me updated on how your future shows go! I know you'll find the right shows for you :)
@@camryns_cute_creations TOTAL OPPOSITE of what I know being from Minnesota!!! Now is when the veggie garden gets planted 😱 it can get to freezing here a couple of times at night but otherwise now through May is the payoff for the hot summers!!! I have a different market on 11/18 and a couple of others in Dec. Yur not kiddin' that the vibe needs to match you... 💯
I would identify a core of 2-3 items to focus on, at least two colors you want them in, then make a solid and organized plan for crocheting at least 5-6 of each color! That will establish a solid foundation of inventory!
I don't yet have the snowman pattern ready for y'all (but soon!), but the tree pattern is actually from MJs Off the Hook Designs! Here's a link to their pattern: www.mjsoffthehookdesigns.com/crochet-bobble-tree-sweaters/
I watched every video of the season! Do you only do markets in the fall/winter or also in summer/spring? And if you also do markets in summer/spring, what do you sell at those? (I don't think you sell beanies at that time of the year)
I primarily sell at fall and winter markets, but I do set up at spring and summer ones occasionally! And I do bring mostly the same inventory with me! My items are actually marketed toward an ideal customer, rather than a season, so they still sell well!
I could tell it was very cold, haha I would wear gloves for sure if I was there. I love chi lattes I always get mine hot with oat milk and honey. Sooo good! I have never sold at a craft show but I am hoping to early in December. I am a student so it's not easy for me to do this right now and besides, don't have enough items to sell. I am trying to make stuff that's not time-consuming... any recommendations apart from scrunchies and key chains?
Hey Camryn, thank you so much for your videos!! I've wanted to sell my crochet for well over a year now but never had the guts to do it. Fear of pricing and fear of not being good enough is a big thing for me 😅 I am finally getting my sh*t together and organising my life instead of just dreaming about it and it's all because of your videos!! 😁 One thing that terrifys me is theft at markets. I have a couple friends in different country's that talk about getting their products getting stolen and I was wondering if this has ever happened to you? Just wondering with your fence when you have it up the front and things behind it is this a concern for you or are you in a pretty safe and honest place? Thanks again 😁🥰 also hey from New Zealand!!
Hi! Sorry for such a late reply, but I haven't had too much of an issue with theft! Of course, that is a reality of selling anything, but in my experience, I haven't faced it much!
That tree pattern is actually from MJs Off the Hook Designs! Here's a link to their pattern: www.mjsoffthehookdesigns.com/crochet-bobble-tree-sweaters/
Hi there! The tree is actually from MJs Off the Hook Designs! Here's a link to their pattern: www.mjsoffthehookdesigns.com/crochet-bobble-tree-sweaters/ I do plan on releasing the snowman pattern!
I tend to still stick to my primary colors for the most part, but because keychains are so quick to make and have a low investment cost, it may be worth it just to make up some other colors and see how they do!
Hiiii makers! :) Hope you loved the vlogs this Fall season! I would love to hear from you, what's the coldest market you've ever done outdoors? 🥶⬇

Items like coasters and washcloths come to mind, but I don't have very much experience with those! Perhaps also car accessories!
Love the ladder thing. We're did you get it
I got that from the Joann clearance section!
One thing that terrifys me is theft at markets.
I’m afraid to use a propane heater. I haven’t used one before, and I’m afraid that I’ll start a fire with it!
I still get nervous everytime I use it!
Watched everyone of your market vlogs..I would love to know how to get the Christmas tree pattern...
That tree pattern is actually from MJs Off the Hook Designs! Here's a link to their pattern: www.mjsoffthehookdesigns.com/crochet-bobble-tree-sweaters/
@@camryns_cute_creations Thank you so much...
Are you going to be selling the snowman and tree patterns?
Hi there! The tree is actually from MJs Off the Hook Designs! Here's a link to their pattern: www.mjsoffthehookdesigns.com/crochet-bobble-tree-sweaters/
I do plan on releasing the snowman pattern!
In your experience for keychain colors can u go all out on colors or keep to ur specific colors?
I tend to still stick to my primary colors for the most part, but because keychains are so quick to make and have a low investment cost, it may be worth it just to make up some other colors and see how they do!
First! And can u tell me your best selling plushies?
My best selling is definitely the chicken from Oak and Marlow!
Thanks!
