You can actually just put a TNT and a sand on top of the TNT and it will explode and break blocks underwater. I think it's simpler than placing dirt around it and activating it with a Redstone block.

i just found a monument in a new world, this is perfect timing!
Sort of similar the Cortezerino's concept but with this one you can send them up a little higher and set up an xp killing area as well if you want. But then you'd need a regen beacon etc but still nice.

1.20.6 Java edition here! Just built this! I went through more potions cause i am kinda a nervous nelly and wanted to follow it exactly. Glad to say that it was honestly so straight forward and simple that I was done within like maybe a half hour.
TIPS:
1. Instead of using kelp at all, you can also use regular blocks of ice. Just place them in the middle of the scaffolding column up to the top and then break them with a tool that does NOT have Silk Touch.
2. I did notice with the videos afk platform placement, quite a few guardians were spawning on the side of the monument wrather than the middle. Granted, this is a smaller and simpler farm, so efficiency issues are to be expected. Not a big deal! All I did was run my afk platform a bit closer to the middle of the monument and now the spawns seem to be a bit more aligned with the farm area.
3. Adding a few more chests for storage doesnt hurt if you want to collect more stuff. I made 9 just cause I tend to afk for a while, overnight sometimes. This just helps collect more materials. 3 chests with this farm are gunna fill up real quick lol

Bedrock User Tips:
1) can’t place kelp on submerged soul sand. Solution: place kelp on dirt block then quickly replace dirt with soul sand once done with all kelp.
2) campfires will extinguish, Solution: extend scaffolding by 4 more blocks, then place campfires down.
Why do we need the kelp there anyways
@@holdenwildeman5246the kelp helps the bubbles travel all the way up to the top whereas without the kelp, the bubbles only go a few blocks up. You’re essentially guiding the bubbles to the top with the kelp.
do you know if this works as intended on bedrock? I think I built it correctly but the guardians don't seem to spawn under the farm.

Just built this on my server, works like a charm (killed the guardians the old fasioned way)
TIP: insted of milk honey is better becouse it removes only bad efects
honey only removes poison, nothing else
And it stacks
The only effect honey removes is poison I believe
It only removes poison, hunger, wither and nausea

There are better food sources than cooked fish. You'd be better off trading the raw fish to Fishermen.

I havent tried this yet but it seems like the number of scaffolds (44) would be different depending on how deep the monument is.
Does it matter what I do with the monument below? I have one that I was thinking of making a Guardian farm with, but it is in Bedrock. I also have it pretty intact with a Conduit centered below the whole monument to facilitate any work I do.I men I might just dry it out on the inside and convert it to a base or a storehouse.

I believe ocean monuments always spawn at the same Y level.
im having the issue where the guardians going to the soul sand to be pushed into the farm, any suggestions on how to fix this?

Really nice farm, although can phantoms kill you up there? Btw don't try to build the farm without invisibility potions, even with netherite armor...
i did it without potions just fine
just place doors and swim around the door when a guardian beams you, it will cut off their beam

I think you have to place water under scaffoldings to let the guardians spawn

The farm works fine but guardians aren’t spawning. Any ideas ?. They just aren’t swimming to the center. The stay on the perimeter and aren’t coming to the center where the farm actually is. Please help

I’m curious about this aswell I’m sure it has to improve them but I don’t know, can guardians spawn in the soul sand bubble columns? If anybody knows I’d appreciate the answer ❤ cause I’m already almost done draining the monument whenever I found this video.
@@ACasualNameGames yes, guardians spawn in bubble columns, otherwise this farm would've been pretty useless ;)
Also, if you're going to drain the momument anyway, mights as well make a small perimeter around it, and make a "fish-tank" for them to spawn and push them to a kill chamber.

Seems like this wouldn't be too tough to convert to a looting farm with some minor tweaks.
And voila, your best xp farm
Very simple with minimal tweaks. Just build the original pillar up to the same height as the AFK platform and build a killing chamber with hoppers covered by carpets and a slab to swing your sword for kills rather than campfires.

It should work bc no redstone at all. BUT the afk platform will be different depending on how many chunks you load at the start (4,6,8 or 10). Its crucial to load just the bit of ocean that the farm is in.

Does it work on bedrock? I created this in my survival world but guardians are not going up to the top, not even getting on platform they Just keep attacking squids. ANY SOLUTION?
Now, I've made a new farm in survival which works fine and also good for xp collection. JC plays channel have uploaded that farm, i replicated it and it worked on bedrock. So, for bedrock playes i suggest making that farm. And make that farm with peaceful difficulty mode. So, no invisibility potions will be required for that farm and after making it, change your difficulty back to normal or hard(important step) as only then your farm will work properly.
In bedrock, the distance of the afk platform depends on a setting you choose at the start (4, 6, 8 or 10). So you have to move your afk platform according to that, so squids dont spawn outside the bubble area. Im assuming thats why it failed.

Replace center with dirt then do the kelp. After you reach the top, replace the dirt at the bottom with soul sand

It’s pretty ridiculous. We made an old school one, and cleared out the temple. Then ran a hopper line down into it, and built a massive sorter in my old world. We had multiple chests for each, and turned the temple into a base, with an auto glass door, among other things.
It’s a huge feat doing that though. We used pillars to block the outside spawn points, and used sponges, and nether portal to dry them.

Not much for this farm, as the limiting factor is actually the kill rate (notice how backed up it gets with guardians as he AFKs) not keeping up (and thus the spawn cap getting filled). Also, most of the spawn area is being excluded just due to the AFK platform being so high.
The first step to improve rates for this farm would be to lower the kill chamber down so that the guardians take a big hit of fall damage on their way down onto the fires. You might get some despawns before death that way, however.
You could also do dispensers with splash Harm II potions on a slow clock to help clear the farm every few minutes as it gets clogged up if you have a good supply of easy Harm II potions (some witch farms produce Health potions to convert or if you have tons of extra gold from a good gold farm).
Anyway to make this bedrock friendly besides obv moving the soulfire 4 more blocks? Or did I just waste an hour cus I didn't read the top comments lol

I just tried to follow along with the steps and unless I gotta do something different or tweak it on my end, my fires went out bcz of the water. I would like a no portal one, it'd be easier for me to understand and make the farm. Otherwise ill see what I must do.

Warning: The farm DOES work, however the sound of guardians shooting will never stop so the only way to stop it is by turning ur sound off, other than that the farm works as intended
