I had a similar reaction when my dad came to our place in a camping site in one Summer (must've been 2003) after getting off work with the big Ford Transit and suddenly unloaded a double-suspension bike for me - After years riding a fully-rigid 12-speed bicycle, by then it was even a bit too small for my size, I got an 18-speed with front and back travel and I just lost it.
