  • LCDs are everywhere around us, from our smartphones to our TVs. But have you ever wondered how they work? In this video, we'll explore the working principle of LCDs in a quick and easy-to-understand format.
Liquid crystals are the key to how LCDs work. They're materials that can change their optical properties when an electric field is applied. By sandwiching liquid crystals between two polarizing filters and two transparent electrodes, an LCD can manipulate the orientation of the liquid crystals to control the light passing through it.
Each pixel in an LCD screen contains three subpixels - red, green, and blue - which can be adjusted to produce a wide range of colors and brightness levels.
