    My Dunu Titan S right side was losing sound, I purchased the Zero Red, & It's much more comfortable for me, I no longer feel Ear Fatigue & sound quality for me As a gamer who plays like at least 8 hours a day was better on the Zero Red. I was actually considering Dunu Talos or the Timeless but After watching a lot of reviewers High Treble is the cause for ear fatigue. So I ended up with the Zero Red & it was a good choice in my opinion.

    Unfortunately like other reviewers you seem to have completely missed what this IEM is about, and by the way Crin hopes most people won't want to use the impedance adapter, it's simply there for those who just want a boom.
    Back to what this is about, no review of the Red should be complete without deep direct comparison with the OG Blue version because the existence of this IEM is about the targets conversation, the Harmon (which the Blue follows) target and IEF (which the Red follows) in this case. The issue is the general feeling that IEMs that conform to Harmon Target become shouty, so as much as it is the preferred target on headphones, it does not work well on IEMs. So the existence of this IEM is about asking people to judge which signature work for them, for example if the Harmon Target works better for you, then you would know that you future purchases should be closer to that, and if you find yourself liking the IEF (Red) target more then in the future that's what your purchasing decisions should follow.
    What all this means is that, of course these are low budget IEMs, which is exactly why it's a good thing as most people can then afford to buy both and get informed about their signature tastes better for when they are going to spend real $$$. These IEMs are not what is amazing by themselves but rather what they represent, two nearly exact IEM with two different targets.

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
      @PrimeAudioReviews  Год назад +23

      I listen and I deliver my opinion. The blue is of no consequence to me since I haven't heard it. The target conversation is irrelevant to me - it could be tuned to the banana target for all I care. I'm only interested in how it performs which is, like I said decent.

    I’m new to all this stuff. Aside from a set of Bose sound sport over the ear phones, and my AirPod pros, those are the only two “quality” phones I’ve listened through. I’ve never heard clarity like what these produce. They extremely loud and I can really distinguish between the instruments. I’m a metal head through and through so I really like mids and highs. Not big into hip hop and bass. I like classic rock and some EDM once in a while. Maybe it’s because I haven’t tried something really good (expensive) but these sound absolutely amazing to me. So much so I’m just sitting here going through a bunch of my favorite songs again. Like I’m hearing them for the first time.

    I think this is an insightful review followed by reasonable comments. The Red is a decent iem imho, I like using it, however it is not what the hype machine (=marketing machine) makes it.
    Imho, the $50 final E3000, albeit much less flashy, is a much better iem, particularly when paired with quality sources. Since 2017.

    Hey! Your review is so insightful about the LXear Jupiter, am looking for something exactly like that, the treble(instruments) takes a step back to the vocals making a coherent strong imaging depth, though has spaciousness or width which I don't like (and I don't care if the instruments sound life like), but it's the best option I found so far and they might be discontinued? and a ciem which I have to measure for which am not bothered to, so I wanted to ask your help for options which are like that : accurate (like how the bass is more inline with the mids), full sound, not sibilant (but not dull/boring), stage monitor but really for pure musical enjoyment.. please feel free to list all possible candidates. I came from head-fi and can you believe only a link to it's review was available.. I know es 10 is like that but possibly more trebly, mg600 is close but again more spacious and possibly slow like if you're listening to rock it's could be cumbersome.. (sorry couldn't submit at your website) 👍

    • @kuma8030
      @kuma8030 Год назад +1

      for gaming you usually want a driver as neutral as possible while having a boosted sub bass so i would say that either the og zero or the project red are good. if we take the example of the most widely use headset by proplayers in the world across history(the hyperx cloud 2) if we take the frecuency response and compare it to the project red you have a boosted sub bass a great midrange and a pretty nice treble compared to the fucked up thing that is the treble on the cloud 2. i would recomend them for gaming? i would reccomend both the og zero and the project red for every type of game (i do preffer the project red ones for the slightly muted treble and slightly muted high bass and boosted sub bass)and they are actually good budget options and imo clearly superior to clouds 2 clouds alpha and logitech g pro x wich are the MOST used headsets by proplayers. in terms of iems (they are mostly only used in tournaments) if im not wrong the ie 200 and 600 are pretty common but dont quote me on that.
      p.d. probably shouldn't ask an audiophile bout gaming

    I currently don't own these, but I do have the original Truthear Zero, and I've tried EQ'ing it to replicate both the base Red and the Red with the bass boost (absolutely hated the bass boosted one; sounded muddy and veiled to my ears). I agree with most of the points you made, especially the airiness. I wish there was at least a few decibels lift in that area.
    I didn't necessarily dislike the sound, but I think for me to enjoy it, it would probably need to be in the evenings/nights when I'm lower on energy and want a more laid-back listening experience compared to what the original Zero or even the CCA CRA+ I have offer, which I use during the day. One benefit, which you touched on, is the fact that the Red has really low distortion, so if you did want to EQ it, I've heard it takes to it super well.

    I’m not saying I’m disappointed with Crinacle’s collabs (mainly cuz I have only tried one, the original Zero), but this one just strikes me as weird in multiple ways. In my opinion aria is not better.
      It all depends on what kinds of music you listen to,
      Everyone has a different hearing.
      Also imo the arias are a total flop as it comes with alot of design flaws. Which is inexcusable for a 70+ dollar iem from a well endowed company.
      Soundwise it all comes down to preference, I don't like the aria's sound as it is way too aggressive on higher volumes also the cable let me down. And of course the fact that they struggle immensely in more moist climates due to a poor design
      The reds are a gamechanger for my personal preferences. Has not failed me once yet. Very solid not only for music.
      If you've got the money I'd say why not buy them?
      Very solid for only 50 bucks
      Y'know, have your cake and eat it too
      Worst case scenario one might break and then you'll still have the others :p

Reds are more fun tho as they are more relaxed, which can get boring in the long run and for most songs that are not bass heavy and hiphop focused. If your problem is its price, the EW200 is basically the same with a 35$ price. Well if you have poor ears, doesnt have High Res FLAC files and you only listen to spotify Reds would be better.
