I'm so ready to receive mine here soon I got the dessert colored one most reviews are ok there are a lot of things happening with it but nothing some upgrades can fix definitely gotta find a way to to get some actual shocks on there and swap out the leaf spring from what I see their problematic they get stuck and don't get back to normal after some flexing but regardless I love this thing
I think the original Unimog 1300's are coil spring suspension and not leaf spring, so they goofed there and could have easily used something like MN90 springs which give a lot of flex and don't bind like these leaf springs. It looks like it has the LDR/C dual motor gearbox that they have advertised separately. Pretty cool, a great replica of the real thing but I think it needs your magic touch with an upgrade.
@@RunThatRC You lucky guy. You're becoming influential and maybe you'll become one of the 'elite few' that get a new release to review before it hits the market
probably can. They are making a gearset probably for 2 speed and they have a trailer option as well for this rig. I hope to get them in my hands and mod this rig.
Thanks for the tear-down; I'm only 11 seconds in but that is good to hear. Is the frame steel or aluminum? I think I read in the specs that it is steel, or stainless steel.
I actually do not know because it was sent to me as an extra with my package from the company. I think you can seach aliexpress for the emblem but I haven't searched for it.

Really nice looking truck
It sure does look cool!
I been looking at getting one of these, just wondering does the E1 tracked vehicle fit on the rear bed of this truck?
I haven't tried to match there size yet but I dont think it will fit in the bed of this rig.
Cool scale details 👍
It's definitely a cool looking rig. We will fimd out soon if it can trail run.
LDRC two-speed gearbox upgrade kit L0056 is available for this truck on AliExpress. I have seen an install video so it looks pretty good.
LDRC is sending me the upgrade gears and the trailer for it. Can't wait to check them out.

A man can dream hahaha
Interesting looking model David, I wonder if we could drop a WPL V3 control board into that?
probably can. They are making a gearset probably for 2 speed and they have a trailer option as well for this rig. I hope to get them in my hands and mod this rig.
Sounds good mate,I can't wait to see what this is capable of in stock form, before you go the upgrade route.
The diesel V3 unit would be ideal--good call on that.
