Fun fact. Red Velvet's Wendy and Mamamoo's Solar share the same birthday and are judges on a vocal competition show. Vocal queens. Solar just uploaded a video on her Solarsido channel where she invited Wendy, Moonbyul and some other singers to listen to her upcoming new comeback song.
Lead Vocalist doesn't mean the same thing in Kpop as it does in western groups. There's three positions: Main, Lead, Sub. Main means the best, Lead means the second best, and Sub means either you only do this skill sometimes or you're not quite as good as the other two. These are their positions from left to right:
Wendy: Main Vocalist, Sub Rapper
Seulgi: Lead Vocalist, Main Dancer
Irene: Leader, Main Rapper, Sub Vocalist
Yeri: Lead Rapper, Sub Vocalist, Maknae
Joy: Sub Vocalist, Sub Rapper

I don't think in RV that roles apply as of the rest in the KPOP world. I know people need categories to live but, to be honest, in RV every member can sing, rap, and dance so well to be lead...the role is not how good they are, it's how producers used their skills but RV is a very unusual girls group.

seulgi is not just a vocalist; she is their lead vocalist which is an important distinction as she is the 2nd best after wendy of course… EDIT: I see you didn’t call wendy their main vocalist either but point still stands

The best vocalist of the 3rd generation is Wendy, the best dancer of the 3rd generation is Seulgi, and the best visual of the 3rd generation is Irene. They are all members of Red Velvet. All members are all-rounders who can also work as solo singers.
Spoken like a true Reveluv. I suspect that Once's (Twice stans) would argue that Momo is the best female 3rd gen main dancer, and Tzuyu is the best female 3rd gen visual. I'm a Reveluv, and Wendy is my ult, so I 100% agree that Wendy is the best female 3rd gen vocalist - heck, she's one of the best singers in K-pop!

the thing with dingo is that the condition to participate is to sing 100% in live, Theres maybe backtrack vocals sounding but thats added after editing the video, the groups can only hear the tracks in their ear plugs to follow what theyre singing but everyone else only can listen their raw vocals "acapella"
I like the calm reactions of those who do not have an absolute liking for kpop. They evaluate the music according to the standard they usually listen to, and they don't try to hide their honest thoughts because they are afraid that the feelings they feel will make Kpop fans feel bad.

Those big round screens in front of the mics serve two main purposes. They filter/smooth out the audio coming from the singers mouth and reduce 'popping/breath' sounds and they make it hard to see the singers mouths to determine whether they're lip syncing or not, that's why most of the time you see the video shot from directly head on and not at an angle.

fyi all Killing Voice performances are NOT 100% live, not even Mamamoo my ult group. Dingo Music and other shows that claim their performances are live trick people into thinking the groups are singing live. Well they are but DM edits various parts by adjusting mic levels, pitch correction, reverb, filtering, auto tune, using pre-recorded vocals including background and main vocals in post production.
This has been proven many times by experts but for most of us untrained people the best way to see and hear for ourselves is to watch the very first Killing Voice by Mamamoo. DM accidentally uploaded the raw unedited version for a few hours before realising their mistake, making the video private then uploading the edited version we all know. Luckily the raw version was downloaded by some people and reuploaded and it can be found on RUclips to compare the two versions.
Fun fact, Mamamoo's raw and edited Killing Voice versions aren't too dissimilar but the differences are noticeable once you watch both versions. Members were off pitch a few times. Solar's mic levels needed adjusting due to her powerful voice, Moonbyul's voice was pitched up, some of Wheein's notes were removed and layered with Solar and Hwasa's harmonization in one part of Decalcomanie and Hwasa's voice needed the most editing because she had a cold at the time.
