This is a short video with seven Supermarket Simulator tips for beginners. This video should help you avoid making some beginners mistakes when playing the game. The gameplay you will see is on level 27 after 17 hours of play time.

Correction on tip #5 - You can take items from the shelves and put them back in a box by holding the appropriate size box and using the right click.

You can use the same size box to take things off the shelves
There is no rush to buy licenses. You can make good money and save to prepare for more licenses. If you buy multiple licenses it will be harder to keep up with demand as they can be expensive since you need to buy the license, buy shelves and keep them all stocked up.
You can easily keep playing to level 15 without buying any licenses and save money while having a good stock pile of goods.
Additionally by purchasing licenses at a slower pace you have time to think about how you want to setup the store and get the start up items organized better, if you are like me you may want to have goods placed in certain areas.
Also as stated by Blurrygil, provided you have the correct size box items can be moved. I always keep spare boxes of each item in case I want to do some moving around, it does come in handy.
The developer is planning to release an update that will allow one to move items without boxes (I can't wait for that to come out)
"There is no rush to buy licenses." Indeed. I'm level 40 and still haven't purchased the butter/chicken etc license that costs 1.1K. Managing the store/products is a lot easier like that.

@@charmaineboone8882 I would say that it is a bug that you are facing. No level requirement that I am aware of, just need to save up money.

@@charmaineboone8882 Yeah, either a bug or you don't have enough money for the license.
#5 is not totally correct.
Items can be placed back into boxes as long as they're the correct size. This was a HUGE thing I discovered and changes the game. So my biggest tip is to keep one of EACH box type for relocation and storage needs.

Wait whaaat, but how did you pick up the stock from the shelves? I tried everything while looking at the items but I can only pick up the shelve itself and not the items.
When holding the appropriate size box you can right click to put the items back into the box.

To save space you can throw the empty box on the top of the fridge.

You can move items! I found out by accident. You just need the same size box so I always keep one box of each size.
Nice tips. I will try to play around with prices so they can be as high up without too many customers complaining.
I'm doing some extensive testing on that, the video should be out by the end of the week.
For now I'm rounding up to 10 cents after the dollars.
Example: Market value ---> My price
Between $5.50-5.55 ---> $5.60
$5.56-5.59 ---> $5.70
I'm doing this for convenience, because it's easier and faster to check out with less numbers after the dot.

I usually buy two everything I can afford and focus on space and shelving
tip. 2 is correct in low price item but in higher price one like 8-10 dollar i mark up 1-2 dollar and no one complaint. im still try to find where is the right spot for pricing.
Eventually someone will make a wiki page with detailed pricing range, until then trial and error.
Because we are the cashiers for a long time it helps 50¢ or $1 increments

Can't reach or can't find? I have never seen them say that they can't reach a product, but it probably means that you placed the shelves in such a way that there isn't enough space for them to go through to reach the item. If they say that they can't find it, then you just don't have quantities of it in the store.

Sadly guessing at what the keyboard controls are on a PC doesn't work for me. The game is total garbage.

If you have problems running the game join the developer's discord and give more info there, either the dev or some of the community members should be able to help. I brought the game on steam and have no issues running it so far.

That's most likely part of the new tutorial added to the game. I can't help here since this game doesn't have save slots, so I can't go back and test it, but if you try all the usual buttons and nothing happens, I suggest just starting a new game since it could be just buggy.
