The AC-130 is also known as "Angel of Death" because the flare drop looks exactly like the one in their music video. That's why she sings " Is it an Angel watching over us? No it's an air-fighter making a fuss!" Same with the mermaid/siren and unicorn/soldiers comparison. Like the innocent view of a child but in reality it's war. In the bands case it is truely the ukrainian war.
@@tackle47 I thought it was making a pass too, and was quite surprised by it since i feel that not all native english speakers would know that "phrase" unless they had some interest in militaryso was surprised to hear it, but "making a fuss" makes a bit more sense since the flares is like a metaphtor for "blowing off steam/making a fuss"
The bassist, Eugene, is heavily influenced by Ryan Martinie from Mudvayne. The three of them (Tatiana, Roman & Eugene) are from the occupied zone in eastern Ukraine. They left fled their home when the war started, leaving their families behind, in order to continue to make music, and were on tour ever since, just to make ends meet, right until covid came along. You should really not ignore the lyrics when doing Jinjer.
@@JayEdgar0409 I have yet to figure that out myself. I don't think he was much of a topic in interviews so far. Only thing I really know about him is his former band.
The entire purpose of HOME BACK and this video is to deliver Jinjer's vital message of the lyrics. People the world over, listen: we've got to do better. Kick out and reject tyrannical, corrupt, greedy leaders that bring poverty and war to the people while building their own bank accounts. We can make the world peaceful and prosperous starting with or own country. Vote 'em out NOW and put in true leaders with integrity and ideas that build, not destroy to enrich themselves! If you don't have any, become one yourself and run for office!
Listen to the lyrics of Who Is Gonna Be The One: "fight back full force", to me that means general strike, organize and overthrow the capitalists (the real warmongers in every country)
@@MLuxemburg I have read those lyrics. It's amazing how much social messaging Tatiana puts into her lyrics despite appearing - and saying - how dispassionate or uninterested she generally is as a person -- one reason why I love her so much. As for "Capitalists" being the culprit: it's anyone, be it socialist, communist, autocratic, democratic, etc. who becomes corrupt and greedy that's the problem. I don't want any form of government or state leader telling me I can't strive to become, say, an entrepreneur (some say a capitalist) and make a ton of money. Is Jinjer a "capitalist" band of musicians because they may (and have) made millions in performance and record / merch sales over the years? I also don't want a government or leader to tell me I must give everything (or a large percentage) of my earnings to the state for the "good of the people"... or to worship or pledge obedience to a particular person, place or thing. I want basic, human rights and freedom to choose how I live. It's fear and corruption with a lack of morals, principal, and honor that destroys, M... no mater what the label is. Thanks for your comment (and Jinjer) that fires me up a bit. ;-)
so, this song is basically their cranberries - zombie', the lyrics are so personal for the band. react to The Prophecy, next, you guys gonna love it, cheers mates 🤟
Please ... 'Ape' at first, then 'The Prophecy'. That makes more sense. It would be a perfect double feature if the guys would take some more attention on the lyrics.
HOWDY FROM NEW ENGLAND....THAT OPENING SWINGS SO HARD...THE YOU HAVE THAT JAZZY MIDDLE SECTION...THEN AT THE END TATIANA'S VOCAL PHRASINGS REALLY DRIVE THE SONG HOME...I CANT WAIT UNTILL JINJER TOUR IN THE STATES..THEN THEYRE GOING TO EXPLODE!!!! PEACE FROM THE NORTHEAST..
I guess the video is a new release but the song is from their album macro that was released in 2019 :) One of my favourites, the bass in the beginning is just incredible!
They toured the world non-stop for over a year (might be 2 I'm not sure tbf) because they couldn't go home. They were only stopped by the global pandemic. The silver lining though is that they went from being a supporting band to the main show in that span, the band basically rose to prominence because of RUclips reactions and their hard work on the road.
The end with the real deep the lines are: Home is not a building, Home is liberty. A place where memories live In prosperity and peace. I came back home so I want my home back I came back home so I want my home back. Don't you leave us homeless! Don't you leave us homeless! Homeless homeless.
Love Jinjer and I stand by the fact in my opinion they have no bad songs on any of their releases. Noah is my least favorite on Macro but it is still a good track.
They are using the time of from touring to write a new album and they already have 4 songs written and read for Tatiana to put lyrics to. Eugene also said that they are some the best stuff that they have ever done.
Love the new set up guys! The back ground is really pretty plus it’s nice to have you guys sitting close to each other. I’m waiting for your reaction to Tom Mac Donald “Angels” such a beautiful song! This is the second time I tried listening to Jinger but I just can’t do it. That’s ok. It’s music and not everyone will hear things the same way. The cool thing about watching reactions is getting the opportunity to discover new artists. I’ve gotten several new ones that I really like a lot! I’ll keep my eye out for Angels 😇🙏🏼. HOG4EVER 🤘🤘
I like to recommend an acapella group called Home Free singing a 19th century folk song called Man of Constant Sorrow. What's fascinating is all the sounds you hear in this video are made by these talented men. A lot of singers done this cover but when you hear Home Free you would be amazed. There's one sound that everyone misses and that's the sound of an old record tuner. You would actually here the sound of an old record static at the beginning and when you see this keep in mind that there are no instruments.
The fact that you guys are this far into the Jinjer rabbit hole and have yet to do Who Is Gonna Be The One Live is a crime against humanity. Please make it happen. PLEASE!!!
Could you guys react to "Catastrophist" by Trivium it's a killer song and fairly new I think you guys may like it also, it's not Jinjer cause it's a male fronted band but they are still worth the listen
British accent killed me😒 I’m Ukrainian and maybe I have wrong representation about English language because of American movies, but really....it’s voiced hard for understanding! You swallow the letters....or I don’t now what 🤷🏻♂️ sorry , but you know it 😉 Like from me👍🏻
You guys gonna just keep doing videos every other reaction channel has done? There are so many good songs/ videos out there to share and explore. Guess this thing is a fix.
