I hope you find something useful & enjoy from this video!
I am happy to receive your feedbacks, advices, suggestions to improve myself.
!!! I apologize for the mistake if I have made in this restoration !!!

1,000 LIKES! I love, love, LOVE when the Jacob's chuck isn't replaced, but cleaned and especially polished. Your Jacob's chuck is almost chrome now and looks like ROM the Space Knight would carry it. Well done. Beautiful restoration.

Your restoration is nothing shorty of excellent. A thorough disassembling followed by replacement of worn bearings, commutator brushes, etc, etc... The finish is outstanding. Very well done. Kind regards.

These videos are always amazing to watch. The only thing I would have done differently is not polish the blackened metal parts. The only way these paint finishes would be better is if you could powder coat them, but that stuff isn’t cheap!

2 questions, how did you know that the black ring behind the chuck was left hand thread? And although I like the bright red, were you tempted to paint it Hitachi green. Well done and cheers, Stuart 🇦🇺

Looks good, but you really need to pack those bearings with grease BEFORE installing them. Putting grease on the bearings as you did around 15:05 doesn't get the grease onto the balls and races, which is where it's needed.

Which kind of spray paint do you use for your projects? I never had luck with spray cans, I find color not really strong for a tool. Other youtoube channels on tools restoration use a 2 step prcess with a base color and a transparent lacquer, that makes sense, expecially when lacquer is a 2 component one. Original color should have been some kind of enamel (but i guess 2-component enamel) or may be some powder based paint. Can you include brand of products you use for restorations (and eveentually tell how behaves color after some months of use) ? You definetly could take advantage of some cheap chinese ultrasound cleaner, it will make life much easier on small components.
