During this episode ,I didn't realize until later why Doc was almost always alone , through the episode I kept wondering why he sat alone to eat , away from the others . It's probably the same reason he never used any of their nicknames,he didn't want to grow attached to the men he would have to probably treat in life or death circumstances. He couldn't afford to be emotional about them , especially if he was going to save their lives. What a lonely existence.
As combat medic I confirm this video catches the mindset and heart of a combat medic. Not all went into combat, most got loads of injured soldiers to treat and to comfort.
Omg the way he rips the Renée's headscarf to bandage Babe's wound. he's so heartbroken that she's dead he wanted to keep it as a way to remember her but deep down he knows she would've done the exact same thing if their fates were switched

But I know what's like going into combat, it's like crawling into hell and praying you make it through. Just let me enjoy my show man!

this is so painfully beautiful. i love how you incorporate all his scenes and how he never stops trying to save people before and after bastogne. i adore how u added the running scenes at 1:53 and the heartbreak at 1:43. please know that this was an amazing thing to do for eugene and for the fandom

I loved the fast pace section at the end with all the running and explosions scenes perfectly matched to the beat. You make a vid like this look so easy, like you could do it in your sleep. I think you've done a great job at capturing the journey this guy went through, the editing is well timed with the clips placed at the right moments and I liked the use of the quotes, my only criticism is that it got a little repetitive like I was seeing the same thing over and over again, I just thought the variety you always exceed at with these vids was missing a bit, but overall, great video :) keep up the great work.
