I've never understood the cake pop phenomenon. I don't enjoy them for the reasons you mentioned. And the prices are just insane with Starbucks charging $3 to $4 for them. I can almost get half a cake at my local grocery store bakery for that price lol.
I eat cake, cake pops, and brownies from the freezer because I love them cold! It's fine to be a cake pop hater (as a person with food texture sensitivies, I get it), but I feel like not everybody has the correct idea of them. They should be slightly firm when you bite them, and not be wet, mushy or pasty. I've never had one from Starbucks, but the ones I've had from bakeries and ones I've made at home have all been good. 👍

They may have been better off making something similar but individually wrapped in boxes where the Little Debbies are. Cut the price at least by half, and lower the expectation of what you’re getting… then people might buy them.
Cake pops were invented to use up cake scraps at bakeries and cakes that weren’t pretty enough to sell… I hate the texture of cake pops… even the “good” ones… You can buy an entire Pepperidge Farm cake for less and they are delicious!!!
Cake pops were just a gimmick to excite people and make them spend their money and people fell for it. I believe they are all a waste of money when there are so many good sweet snacks that were already on the market. These are just another gimmick.

Don't get why you have to freeze them it's not like they have ice cream in it unless they don't want the chocolate to melt.
Not a lot of difference in a frozen dairy dessert and something like this. You can freeze anything and find that it's pretty good actually...

These sounded good but seem like they kissed the mark although I do love Cake Pops (Starbucks especially!). A bit pricey so I’d pass on these.
