Landing gear is about the strongest part of an aircraft.... Hard to believe that a bird strike on the landing gear would have any effect on them. The landing impact is much, much greater than a bird strike.
it was definitely a bird strike, clearly shown in video. likely other issues as well, but appears to have started with the bird strike. The "expert" clown in this piece is a complete Buffon, IMO.

Has this expert even seen the crash video? He’s talking about a flat tire or damage to the gear-but the gear is up! It also looks like the pilot touched down very far down the runway and flared it like a normal landing instead of dropping the nose and increasing the surface area in contact with the runway thus reducing the speed more quickly.
Why did South Korea not have better crash landing emergency services and why are there no fire trucks and ambulances along the runway towards the end of it and fire hydrants.?!? Why don't the planes have on board large parachutes that can be deployed at the back of the aircraft to help it slow down more in crash landings?!? Why is there no mesh over the engines to help stop bird strike.?!?
Other videos showed the undercarriage total collapse, the plane was gliding on its belly abt 200m before hitting the wall.. However not shown if the landing gear collapsed on landing or thereafter.....dont think it was any bird strike bcoz cant even see the front nose wheel at all
Report from other Asian companies have the pilot's reporting that the landing gear was not working and they went around again for a second attempt, but the wheels still weren't working. A belly landing was attempted, ran off runway to a fence / wall, and this is yet another 737 with parts malfunctioning in a recent series of safety dangers.
Aviation expert…really? No bird strike on the strongest part of any aircraft. This was the pilot’s second landing attempt due to undercarriage issues. They did have thrust reverse engaged. They probably wanted a safe belly landing but overshot the runway not knowing that some clown decided it was a good idea to put a perimeter wall out there.
This was a gear up landing i seen video of it.. terrible accident should not have happen the pilots came in way to fast or decided to do a go around but.. once ur touching down without the gear its game over....
I've never heard of a bird strike damaging the landing gear of any aircraft. I think after seeing that the landing gear was still up on this aircraft in the air and on the ground that the pilots didn't lower the landing gear at all, I would further say that the landing took the pilots by surprise and that they (the Pilots) simply missmanaged the whole landing procedure. I'm truly sad for the victims of this accident.
"expert" is a HUGE stretch, this clown knows less than most 3rd graders about aviation. There was however, definitely a bird strike, it went into the right engine.
so they hit birds and did a go-around and attempted landing on the other runway in the reverse direction and clipped the localizer antennas with the landing gear at the end of that runway ... didn't end well ...

Some expert you have there, the gear was obviously up the nose wheel doors were closed, not in the gear down position, just terrible guessing at maybes.
The landing gear wasn't down (shown in another video) and the aircraft had landed on it's belly and was traveling at a high rate of speed along the runway.
This guy is not an aviation expert at all. Its clear that it was a belly landing. He talks about thrust reversers. Thrust reversers will not activate without weight on wheels.
My guess is he has not seen the video, the gear was not down so was not damaged by a bird. This guy is absolute joke, clearly not an aviation expert and they should take this video down.
The wall is usually to divert jet wash and to protect vehicles on roads that may pass behind said airport runway. It's common at many airports that have roads passing behind the runways to have these concrete barriers, in fact Sydney airport has one. Seems to me he came in too fast and high looked like he was attempting to do a go around possibly after bird strike and landing gear was raised for this , but had reverse thrusters on so no way he was going to get enough airspeed to get back off the ground. Just my observations
The final approach for this type of aircraft is around 138 knots. The cause being a bird strike on all three undercarriages is dubious. Is the commentator a pilot or just an ‘expert’. I think he just writes about the aviation industry an$ is out of his depth here.
Another channel posted a video of the crash, and the landing gear was up, and the plane looked like it was going down the runway at takeoff speed (!), though it appeared that the thrust reversers were open.

Your expert seems to not be up to date with some footage showing the landing gear not deployed. Video shows the aircraft skidding on its belly , reasonably under control, until a fireball. How about this scenario… bird strike cuts the engines, hence no reverse thrust and not being able to slow down , also damage to the hydraulic/ systems affecting the landing gear , possibly on approach so the pilot tries to glide in and couldn’t control the landing?
