Yeah I agree with you forgo this game is heading toward a bad direction.I've already stopped playing it regularly.The game feels unfair for someone like me who has a terrible luck.Luck aside We Don't really have much things to do here.
You outlined the problem perfectly. I went all out on the last event, thinking that I will splurge on the first two UE banners, so they can get me through the new game modes, and I can skip a few banners after that. So I maxed out ALL the characters from the last update. But once I realized you need 3 characters of each color, and they all need to be leveled up.... just for the privilege of being able to grind higher tiers in the plugin plant.... and only UE characters will be viable, all our EX characters are obsolete .... forget it.
Have been playing this game since launch of global, have thought of dropping it but never actually did. This might make me drop the game for real. Too much investment, too much repetitive grind. And NetMarble has repeatedly demonstrated that they do not respect our prior investments.
Keep in mind that the inclusion of the new rarity also kinda shaped the roster we have in the game. We no longer have any other KOF versions of characters who were leaked since the gold border days. With every new rarity, the old border meta gets broken, and with UE's case, this would probably mean the end of EX as well, which is kinda sad because if you remember we were promised KOF XV characters for the EX rarity.
i stopped playing once again, the game is the same as it was 3 years ago, new characters but there is no new gamemode ( dont start with your plug farm, thats not a gamemode you play ) there is nothing to do in this game beside daily and saving rubies for the next big powercreep.
all the older rarirty characters are basically WORTHLESS now, everything i invested in now feels like a lvl 90 character compared to the free mukai they give us, whats the point?
KOFAS now is a collective game, just to farm and unlock characters
The problems i have with the game are:
1. All skills are just for look. Homing, blast skill covering one side the map, spam skill to the point it just feel like pressing them to see big numbers.
2. Bosses doesnt feel exciting to fight because they have super hard armor that fighting them feel like we just spamming skills on a dummy.
3. HP/Defend completely disregarded because the Atk are like 100x times higher. So to counter, Netmarble just put immune core at certain HP%. Doesnt feel like fighting game at all.
4. A2,3,4,6,8,9 have no change to anything except big numbers
5. Core gives only ++Dmg, and bit of skill orders for bigger numbers to only for them to add spamming core like concentration or UE skill.
6. Disregard balancing where even a single auto can from UE one shot another UE (if it wasnt for the immune core) No record of balancing any fighters except some BUFF for BIGGER NUMBERS.
7. Their balancing for PvE is just adding tankiness and completely hard armor instead of making them more active like have few more skills. The way they make PvE last long is by spawning them in set order completely ignore the spamming skills trend in their design philosophy.
8. Using finisher skills only to delay time feel like its a bug so they utilitize it into a gamemode and mechanic because fighters already doing too much dmg long time ago.
9. Older fighters become a big waste of memories and by fixing it they just add "Kill the boss with gold fighters" for good rubies.
10. Type of fighters, color and cipher are just there to set some limit to their new "mudt spins for new fighter to play" game mode instead of any unique abilities from eahc other. Same goes to dots atk are just tick dmg and nothing special.
11. Support only work with their release partner making them lose their power immediately the next update. Example "boost chaos and yellow fighters". When are they gonna release chaos and yellow fighters beside Saiki?
The point 9 isn't even a thing anymore, you just need to use UE characters as strikers and they will carry you on those challenges

EX fighters was a great addition to KOFAS because at Level 90 they can still be valuable to your account, now UE needs to be a5 to be valuable
Whatt??? It's the complete opposite of what you said. Ex fighters are a must a5 ..to bring out their full potential cuz their ex core skills are locked to a5.
While ue fighters, you don't even have to a5 them, even at a3 they perform very well since there's no skills that's locked to a5 .you can use an a3 ue unit the same way you use an a5 ue unit.
@@GoatVegito-rs6ywwrong, O.P is the new gatekeeping, UE fighters get to wear one more plug in than EX fighters which is important for O. P based content (plug in plant, event towers etc), phantom core and skills far outclass awakening skills by a huge margin, we also get to unlock more core effects at A9 which give a ridiculous amount of power

What I mean by my reply to the op is that, a3 ue fighters is more usefull than a3 ex fighters cuz you can have access to all the skills even at a3 in the case of ue units...other than toi , there isn't any need of a5 . For aegis a3 is also just fine . And yeah , y'all should stop complaining. Kofas is realy generous , y'all just dnt know how to skip...no f2p can a5 evry unit. So skip 2-3 banners and when you get enough rubies...summon and get a guaranteed a5. If you can't save and summon on evry fkn banner then don't blame the game. Rates has always been bad and it's the same with almost evry gacha....
@@GoatVegito-rs6yw we're talking about level 90, a3 ex fighters is similar to a3 ue fighters but lvl 90 ue fighter is useless because of OP System, you can't even finish the tower event even with lvl90 UE fighters because they implement OP, before a90 ex fighters can clear the event easily. Just like forgo said, leaving ue fighter to a3 is a waste, because you can't use them any further than guild raid and low tier plug ins, but before, leaving EX fighter to a1 or a3 they cans till clear events and aegis challenge
@@jinjinshotdog ?? Lmao my a3 ash helped me a lot in aegis , as I said. The only mode where a5 and above is required is toi. Lvl 90 ex is as useless as lvl 90 ue ...the challenge tower rewards are shit anyways..no point in clearing the tower...in the end both are a5 or bust ..but in case of ue even if you can't a5 and only manage to a3 , that's still very good.
just make a new mode were we get rubies as reward every week but only can use UE character's. like survival mode get 10 rubies/min u survived with a max limit on the rubies
When I said rubies don't matter to them people thought it was a joke... They gave us a free start. giving us bunch of *free* rubies just to keep us in the game smh.. now we all know their true nature tbh

Yep. Once you have completed all the stories, quests, and game modes it becomes super hard to get more rubies. Even the dailies dont give enough to A5 a character so you have to skip a few banners by doing dailies to save for a banner where you can waste all your rubies to be able to A5 a character. So stupid.
I don't know why netmarble don't give us old fighters, A lot of cool fighters that cost a lot of money to design have been abandoned. Upgrade old fighters not powerful as ue and release again,Let's enjoy the game not just make money
They should give us a free a5 fighter of each element to help the plugin plant but have them not op but achievable to complete the top levels of plugin plant.
Even on my run on the tower lately the ue fighters at a0/a1 extremely struggle against the boss fights which ex fighters didn't have this problem

Personally Forgo I think UE characters themselves are the problem and the content revolving around it especially the O.P system.
It's like A5 or useless era.
Only thing i love about ue characters is that they're so op i don't feel the need to get their card banner set.
These UE characters characters made me feel like I wasted my time with everything else. I loved my Ryu but he don’t compare.
it really sucks when what was a top 5 character before UE are now worse than THE FIRST FREE character they gave... i dont want to imagine what ue will be able to do in 6 months.
This third UE banner really sucks me so deep. I'm broken oredy.. hopeless.
Because they are UE-seless for the nUE content if they are under a3. Can’t equip the plugins under a3.
Can we find a modded version of this game were we have unlimited rupies to pull as much we want and try characters?
I hope they slow down a bit in the banner release is to fast and the requirements for this characters to get the good stats is behind a5
Make the character's memory be obtainable though some big grind, like 3000 prime memory shards. It would still be more viable short term to pull for the character during the banner event while on long term it allows players to max out the fighter long after the banner is gone.
Final Fantasy brave exvius does that with its Neo Vision units: It's quicker to pull for the character multiple times to get fragments to max them out but you can also try to get fragments without pulling. It takes a long ass time, but it's possible.
Tbh, I wish it was still FES and Gold Border Characters. I had so much fun with this game before BS and SS became the norm for a while until EX and UE. I want to build up my favorite characters, but it's just impossible now because they'll end up just being heavily obsolete, or they were locked to a LTE banner that has not had a rerun, it costs a lot of rubies and insane luck to even max out a character. I dropped the game around BS Volume 3, came back near the SS K' and Kula banner, and then I dropped the game again near the BS Nameless and Ash banners and came back again during the SF collab, and then I stopped playing after the SS Kusanagi Special Event. I tried to come back during the Tekken 7 rerun, but I just couldn't play the game anymore.
KOF AS used to be my favorite mobile game before SS and BS, but it's just impossible even trying to keep up now. Whenever I did get on the game after the SF collab, I mostly only ever played dream match because that was the only mode where I could finally use Gold border and FES characters comfortably, but even still BS/SS/EX characters were still very prominent in that mode because of how good their special skills were.
Just changed the rate like 3% with select option and it become a game changer
And Add Ex Unit to have a UE Crystal Shard to change them to EX with UE tag Both Ex And UE tag cuz why not
If UE was just yearly character, that would be awesome like saving Ruby to go all out.

Truth is NM doesn't give a damn and keeps stuffing new levels of characters with shit rates and ppl keep thinking things will change. It's the sad reality of this game
Well said. You are on point, as of now that tower of illusion is hard and plug in modes are hard to play since we barely have high o.p. characters and the chance to get them on banners are super low.
As a f2p I agree, also idk how lucky Iam too a5 most of them😭 I honestly thought I cant A5 Shen and Elizabeth because I used most of my free rubies on the first UE banner but I got lucky A5 Shen and Eliz less than 20k with the set, i just dont even know how, then I went to dokkan to test my luck out and got the new LRs😂
I completely agree also where the heck is the collab banners I would literally go all in n then some if they give us a Dmc collab with Virgil in the banner n with the new ue phantom thing it could be a pretty neat way to trigger his devil transformation kinda what they should have done with saiki
Basically we are back to the middle BS/SS and EX era before the generic memories comes out. The same complains all over again.
I think at this point they aren't going to listen to us anymore.

I think it’d be great if they add transcended for a character too(?) i mean you can find any stats/buff/debuff you need on a lower ue character, so any lower ue char can keep up with ue.
I returned after long hiatus to the game because of the Street fighter collab. I’m finding out about UE and that you guys have gotten free UE characters during the time i was gone 😅

i got shen woo at A1 during a 5x summon
can't even clear stage 3 . and I'm using awaken level 3 and above. one A3, A4 and an A7 . what's the point of playing if we can't progress further in the game. and these shit rates will not help us get there .
I am a new player started like 4 days ago I did 4 multi and I got both UE characters do you need dupes to get them to A5?
You need 7 dupes to go to A5.

Two pd in this banner and i get no ue character. In the banner befor two pd in card no card from the banner. The rate at 1 dont help there is tricky from nm that for some player have the chance other nothing. In Ex iori baner i get him to a5 and chun ei to a3 in tow pd and i get theirs 3pg and full set and two option cards in only one pd.
How about remove the requirements to awaken level 4 and 5, by removing one memory from it.
Netmarble not gonna listen for this, they are just focus to make money,. If you wanna A5 the character, you should spend money. Thats it., im F2P player, maybe after the collaboration but the game has nothing changes, im gonna to stop this game.

Doing the bare minimum for the game. It's not the same anymore. More character releases but very tiring game modes. No updates/changes for game modes. Epic quest, Story mode, Advent dungeon, and many more. This game is going down.
Forgo, this "shen woo token" that we can get from the event, why we only get around 440 tokens only? Where is the rest 40 token shen woo?
I have like 10 EX characters maxed out A7 and the rest are between level 90 and a4, now they are all obsolet! so netmarble basically telling us to left our hard earned and leveled up EX characters behind and now only use EU! Seriously!

Most of players can't change graphics anymore, only iPhone/iPad and some Android models can change it. Someone told me that was a change made back there, on an old updte.

Well this game will turn into Honkai impact i hate gacha games soo much so old kof all star was better because they have co op and if you can’t pass one boss you have co op option to help you not to fight with you yea in first release banners in kof all star it was limited like now thats sucks
And you have a low chance to get fes characters before that people we need to spend 14K or 18K to get fes characters this game is actually is pay to win and i don’t want to comment how many bugs have in this game and glitch
