Bless this mom and her son. You can tell she just really loves her son and wants what’s best for him and she finally opened up her eyes to what that meant and what her son needed. She’s an angel.
Could not hold back the tears this episode from the Mom hug part where she is helping lgbtq and just giving countless people a caring moment who deserve it most. Rupaul is taking America out of the Dark Ages and back into the Light

I like how the two songs Adam listed as being the most difficult to sing are, in my opinion, the ones that he sings best. He always SLAYS Who Wants to Live Forever and Show Must Go On
When I came out to my Mother it was not my choice!! I was arrested by my cousin that was a cop, and was stopped on my way walking home !! It was 10:30 pm, I was about ten minutes away from being home, when asked where I lived I gave my address, the cousin cop got a funny look on his face and I could see the wheels spinning, my Aunt has three son's, then I told him who I was !! Of course I was in drag !! He, and his partner cop, who's sister lived next door to us arrested me for curfew!! I was 17 and a half years old, and curfew was at 11:00 pm!! They held me there so they could take me to juvenile hall !! That is how my Mother, and whole family found out !!! From that time my Mom didn't hug me or even kiss me on the cheek , as she did my brothers !! This was in 1968 !! I was in my forties when my Mother died, thank God she educated herself and finally accepted me, as her trans daughter !! I went through and caused a lot of mess !! Now, I try to help the one's coming up on how to come out with out being so in your face, about it !! I related to the feelings of being a disappointment to my Mom, and had to see through her eyes !! Much has changed as much has stayed the same !! I'm a 68 year old trans Lady !! Content with me !! If I could have done things differently , maybe I would have, but it is what it is !! I miss my Mother, and will always Love Her !!! Thanks for letting me go on .. Luv Ya !!

There was magic in this episode Ru! I cried for the pain that still haunts so many families in the LGBTQ+ community and props to you for shedding light on that and sharing this incredible story! Adam was an exceptional guest and everything felt so natural, my favorite episode to date! ❤️
I have seen and read in little blurbs here and there about the Free Mom Hugs but haven't had a chance to go more in depth. The marriage proposal was also so very sweet. I love the way RuPaul brings out such good stories and keeps the energy positive.

I love love your show, Ru. You are one of the great blessings from the Almighty that keeps me going on. I just finished my second chemotherapy yesterday evening. I kept on checking my RUclips notification awaiting for RuPaul show to be uploaded. I am in Dubai and was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in April 2019.

Thank you for having Sara and her son on your show. When I first started hearing about her, I was inspired but kept thinking "I'm not a mom. I love the LGBTQ+ community, but I can't give "mom" hugs." Then I realized that my love is enough. I bought a "Free Hugs" t-shirt in rainbow colors and I can't wait to wear it. I know how to love like a mom. My dogs and friends can attest to that. Thank you, Sara, for the inspiration, the guidance, and most of all, the LOVE.

Love this! And it is giving me so many American Idol memories, Adam Lambert, the best contestant ever! And I loved Rayvon on his season!! He was sooo underrated and is so talented. I cant wait to tell my Mom about the Free Hugs movement. We need to stand by those whose families reject them! Us LGBTQA+ are a family! I love you all

I love this. I remember the crap Adam got for being gay on Idol. In fact, it's why he didn't win, let's be real. He's such a warm soul, so happy to see where his life has taken him since. He's a winner in life.
LOVED this episode! Touched on so many subjects that are dear to me. My family are of the deep south (Arkansas) and deep pentecostal roots and are taught at church that if they accept my "lifestyle" that they are not loving me and sending me to hell. It's all a mind game the church does to make the parents feel like they are choosing God or Satan... Its sad really.
I came out to my parents when I was 19 and to this day they still do not accept it... I am now 43. They tell me to just stay single and not be with anyone so I don't live in sin. I know the truth that God doesn't make mistakes and he created me the way I am, as a gay male and God loves me as I am. We don't discuss it as much anymore but they don't want to hear about my life or see anyone I'm with.
I moved home to be there for my mom who is dealing with breast cancer but they still feel I'm living in sin and say the devil has me fooled. My straight brother doesn't even visit my mom, but I see her all I can and see my dad all I can cause life is short.
I try and show them love back and if someday I find love I will not put my boyfriend in a corner, he will be center stage and if they want to see me they will need to accept me being with him.
But this episode brought tears to my eyes cause it hit home and is such a BIG issue with many gay men and women and the families that reject them.
I liked the Free Mom Hugs page and the Arkansas page and see this a great thing they are doing. I wish there was a way to educate parents that they don't have to approve of it, but to accept it is what I am. I just wish they knew the real Love that my God shows me and wish they showed the same to me, that unconditional love. But I get what I can get I guess.
Its just so emotionally hard on me and sad cause I want such a close relationship with my parents but can only go so far with that boundary.
My parents are divorced and remarried and at one point my mom did say she would try to accept my life if I accepted her new husband so I held up my end of the deal but she ended up turning away from my life and still tells me I'm going to hell. It just really sucks.
But I'm going to do the Christian thing and still love my parents no matter what and hopefully someday they'll come around.
And you were right Rupaul...She is a true Christian, that's what a true Christian is, showing God's unconditional love to his and their children. ❤️

Wowie, the difference. I currently live in Fort Smith, and was born in Hot Springs, AR. Maybe its just the difference in age of the world we live in but im just fine. Its interesting to watch the world elevate from the darkest corners to the largest cities through communication development, and the spread of differnent ideas.

My son and I went to our first pride this year and we did it together. From one supportive mom to another I LOVE this and I hugged a member of free mom hugs too! I'd love to be more involved!!! PS Michelle with the chin move Alyssa could never 😂
Adam Lambert is so wonderful . He has a outstanding voice and his humble and kind hearted attitude is so refreshing ....
He could have gone on to be a look @ me ... in the best and have toured with QUEEN ... etc ... but he hasn’t let stardom go to his head . Hope he keeps it real this way ... a real PRO and has a great presence about him !

Watching this and crying! Remembering my favorite nephew who died of aids and only on his deathbed did he come out to his parents. Growing up in a strict household was not easy for him. I’m glad I was his support and he could talk to me about anything, he got free Mom hugs from me 😭. I miss him everyday 🙏🏻❤️

People thanking her made me cry. I married my wife states apart from my mother but I know if I had asked, she wouldn't have came. I know my wife's family didn't come after we rented chairs for them to be there. We had a friend of hers from school and a couple she knew stand up with us. I'm glad she does that for people

This is a MOST EXCELLENT show. Adam Lambert brings me chills!!!! love him. gonna go to his show soon!!! . I really love how this show encourages people to get real with themselves and talk about topics that matter. I love Adams Story, and strong love to his mother, being so loving and supportive. Congrats to his father as well. I teared up several times with the next guest. SARAH CUNNINGHAM and her son, BLESS THE MOM!!!!!!! she is strong enough to come on TV and state how ridiculous her fears were. (burn in hell) and seeing her son be happy and authentic to himself is MORE important than her crazy fears. She has truly shown other moms that this is NOT the END for them or their kids. LOVE your KIDS PARENTS!!!! RU said it perrrrrfectly "This is what being a Christian really is right here"!!!!! This woman is doing more for people than any Sunday school class can!!! she let go of her fears and is embracing her new found love for ALL people. She will BE an AMAZING example for other parents!!!! WE NEED THIS ON TV. WE NEED RU.
