Anyone who remembers the ‘Bajilo Kaharo Beena’ track from Satyajit Ray’s Agantuk?

this one is such a landmark album, hearing this for so many years now...never gets old! brilliant voices and incredible music arrangement... we sure need more like this!

this is not only an album this is an adventure. and the best trip is 'Tobu Mone rekho'.
different as all 'Tagore and we ' albums ... yet the Tagore and we the first one was better ... loved compositions and fusions ... bajilo kaharo bina is one of my fav Tagore songs ... it's a very beautiful song ...and yeah it was again my fav in this album
Aha aji e basante, Bajilo kaharo beena, Aguner parashmoni ar Tobu mone rekho... Best of the lot, "Tobu mone rekho" to puro showstopper. "Aha tomar shonge" r shuru ta bhalo lage ni. "Chiro sokha hey"-r sathe sufi music... concept wise khub bhalo laglo.

Soumyajit.. I like your voice.. Soothing to ears.. Rekha ji... you missed the feel of the songs.. not sure if someone made you understand the meaning of the songs.. It is most important for Tagore songs..
Oshadharon Oshadharon!! Bangali ra ektu boro hou. Eto ninda kiser!! Ki opurbo kaj gulo korche era! Can't we appreciate them?

শুনছি, প্রথমবার । বেশ খারাপ লাগছে । আগের দুটো অ্যালবাম একটা প্রত্যাশা তৈরী করে দিয়েছিল । রেখা ভরদ্বাজ ভাল ঝোলালেন ।

Sourendro and Soumyajit, what I love most about your compositions is the serenity. The music and vocals for the most part blend seamlessly. Who would think Rekha Bharadwaj's crisp and strong voice would be so fit for Rabindra Sangeet? Other than some minor pronounciation blemishes (where Sunidhi was unbelievably flawless) it is refreshingly rendered. Liked 'Eki Sugandha' the best in this album followed by 'Bajilo kaharo...'. Couldn't decide on 'Monomor..'. While I struggled at the begining but somewhere midway it grew on me :-). Did not quite like 'Chiro sokha' in first listen. In my opinion 'Sunlo sunlo balika..' is where perfection has been reached, and you have set the bar too high for your own good :-). Looking forward to the next album....is Kailash Kher next?? :-)

আগের দুটার সাথে তুলনা না করেই বলছি গানগুলো দাগ কাটতে পারেনি । প্রত্যাশা বেশি ছিল কিন্তু হত হলাম । সবার গলায় গণহারে গাওয়ালেই রবীন্দ্রসংগীত হয় না ।

নতুন ধরনের experiment..কিন্তু experiment করতে গিয়ে রবিঠাকুরের গানের যে অনুভুতি কোথাও হারিয়ে গেল..আর বিশেষ করে রেখা জি -র গলায়ে ঠিক যায় নি গান গুলো...
কিছু করার চেষ্টা ছিল বোঝা গেলেও শেষমেশ কিছু হয়নি।

Came to check out with high hope. Because whatever anyone does with Tagore's music, usually it sounds good, that's the genius of Rabindranath Tagore. But somehow, you guys managed to fu*k up the entire album!
After two great albums this one is complete failure. There are so many great female singers to sing Tagore songs..why Rekha Bhardwaj ?

Over all ok but Rekha ji couldn't create d feel of Rabindra sangit. I think ur very first album Tagore n we is best ever. I want to see ur next album featuring with Kaushiki Chakraborty. Very sure that would be huge success in ur musical success. So Pl do work next time with Kaushiki, eagerly waiting to see 😇

For Rabindrasangeet it is perhaps necessary to have a smoother Bangla pronunciation..otherwise, this is nice..
S& S , you have a good market for your songs. Why not insist on taking good singers of Rabindrasangeet like Sasha, Ritoja or Sahana Bajpai who can put life to the songs.

Soumyojit your technicality might be fine but voice not at all, it's too lighter than others. I was waiting for this album and it's devastating. concepts are good but badly executed.
Rekha Bhardwaj is not a good choice
it's finally become a worst album in tagore and we series rekha bhardwaj is a very good singer no doubt but in this album her voice is jst not going with rabindrasangeet. but sraboni sen fantastic as always.. Overall hopeless

Rekha Bhardwaj..?? What is this??....Cant even be called an attempt. Not worthy of it. Agantuk cinema te 'Bajilo kahar Beena' shune ele bhalo hoto, Modhuro tomar.....equally bad. Ager album gulo bhalo experimental album chhilo.
