Great Information! Loved seeing the baby chicks scratching, pecking, and taking dust baths outside.

Thank you so much for this video! It was very helpful and you made the process seem way less complicated! At what age can they be given the fermented feed and do you also offer dry feed?

I used a 4jar rotation in the winter, because our house is cool. 2 jars in warm months.

Nice! Now that we have 30 grown birds I use a rotating routine of two 5 gallon buckets.

What is the mesh you used for your makeshift PVC pipe run next to you, and how did you attach it to the PVC? Also, did you make a "door" on the PVC run to get them in and out, or do you just lift the whole thing up? Thanks for this info! I've got my first ferment jar going!

What kind of chicken is that gold one that’s so much bigger than the others?? Loved watching them! I’m getting my first 4 in June 😊. Also I’ve been seeing that you should probably wait until your chicks are 3 weeks old before feeding them the ferment. When did you start?

thank you! I was told she was a New Hampshire red. she ended up turning out to be a huge hen. I think I started around week 3 for the fermented feed. Good luck with your first chicks in June

Could you tell me how many days to take a broiler chicken to prepare for full size with farmented feed and what is the final body weight?can we provide farmented feed to broiler
    chicken at night?

Im sorry, I have no experience with broiler chickens and how many days they take to mature. You could offer fermented feed at night but Im not sure if they would eat it because chickens do sleep from dusk to dawn.

How old should chicks be to start feeding them fermented feed? My flock is 1 week old yesterday.

    • @thehomespunhive8669

      I would start now

@@thehomespunhive8669 great because I started a small batch today. It seems so mushy since it’s chick feed. So should I ferment 24 hours or 48 ? I will probably add some dry to it when I do feed it to them.

I used a mason jar wiyh a paper towels to cover with the ring over that, not the solid part of the ring. Is that ok?
