Well to everyone upset about the pressure of this unit let me remind you rule number 1 is pumps create flow not pressure. Pressure is created by restriction to flow. This pump wants to put out 7.5 litres a minute. As you restrict the output (smaller hose, smaller orifice ect) the pressure will spike to a max of 160psi and then the pressure relief will open to prevent damage to the pump. That's all these numbers mean.
That is not how it works. They out put the advertised pressure up until they reach their given flow rate. Yes pressure is expected to drop if you use too large of an or five that allows too high of a flow rate. But it should not only output correct pressure at flow rate of 0.
Pressure is inverse to flow period. If a manufacturer decides to deceive a customer and make false ratings that's one thing but in fluid dynamics the definition of pressure is the restriction of flow. the appropriate way to label a pump would be a given pressure at a given flow. But we hardly see that in these cheap pumps. More often we see a max pressure and a max cfm with no @ in between them. When that's the case one should assume what I initially posted and not get upset when the performance is not as expected.
I just ordered it for my Jeep. I have two 2 gallon water containers on back and just installed my kitchen drawer system. This is gonna be great for washing dishes, my dog, etc… Can’t wait to try it out. And so cheap. Score.
This would be great for a boat washing down mud and sand. I do wonder how it would hold up to pumping saltwater and how hot it gets while running for continuous amount of time.
My setup : - Cheap af 12v battery pressure washer. Instead of using 12v bat, im using 20v cordless tool bat (modifed). - High Torch 12v Pump 775 Dc motor *** Running water ~ Pump + Switch on/off ~ any cheap cordless pressure washer. Now you have a very powerful protable high pressure washer. ****Cost me around 40$ - cordless pressure washer - 20$ - high torque pump - replacement parts (cheape) 10$ - 10$ (connectors, softtube etc!
It would be interesting to do a test. but it does what one would expect from it. Its great for cleaning down equipment after use, which is what its meant for and excellent that you can take and use it anywhere. If one wants more than that they would use the normal very high pressure washers at home. What do you think of this multi purpose pump-up one I made some time ago? ruclips.net/video/WVmc9se7CYc/видео.html
Hey Steve I have the same pump but for some reason my pump does not suction up the water, I’ve removed the caps. All connections are tight but pump doesn’t suck water up at all any ideas on what I can do?
Steve, do you think it might work better if you got rid of that part of the inlet pipe that looks like it has squashed flat? It must be impeding inlet flow.
Great review, just bought one. Hoping to fix the pump to the side of a 25 litre drum then it's hopefully a bit more easier to move about. Might even get another battery to run it, then it can go anywhere not just by the car.
I got two of this kind of water puma the brand is good pumps. Long time i never hook up now I got time to hook it up but never works both of them and never comes with rubber washer, I purchased from eBay its a junk pumps, the motor work but cannot pump water any help please?
You can cheaply use this kit to build a portable cordless 12V high pressure washer, using a garden sprayer, a 11.1V (3S) 25C LiPo battery and some zip ties. It's not like a jet washer (with the pre-heated water), but it costs 1/3 of it, giving you full autonomy (you don't need a plug/socket, or to be attached to a water tap). Instructions are published on my Instructables page.
It is supposed to shut off when the water fills the diaphragm in the pump which pushes out and make contact with an internal switch. No pressure, no shutoff
Any idea where I could get the hoses from separately and all the adapters? I already have the same pump just not the adapters and hoses, or what diameter is the hose?
160 psi is not the output pressure, but more likely the maximum pressure the pump is able to build up. While running continuously, the working pressure is 5-15 psi at best (depending on the ID and length of the house used, I guess).
hello dear friend thanks for the video, i've order a 60 watts/o.9Mpa 6l/min pomp...are this pomp with those configurations enough for washing a car ?? can this pomp last for long usage, can it be damaged , if accidentally splash by water ?? ...thanks again ...peace from Morocco :)
Hi it is ok for washing a car but does not have a great pressure like the high pressure washers have. It is well made and looks like it will last. It would be ok with splashes but not immersion in water. Regards Steve
Steve How much amper your ac to dc converter? I wanna use it at home as you, not in a car. I looked up and there are 2/3/5/12 amper options. Which one I should buy? Thanks for your answer.
Erdem AKIN What are you needing it for?? if it's just a basic use. try a 12volt pump, 5ltr flow rate (ltrs min) with 80/100 psi should draw around the 3 amp range. Higher that amp rating means bigger the pump will have much bigger flow rate.

Would you be able to hook this up to a micro water turbine that could generate more power than the pump uses thin reroute the remaining voltage to charge a battery Bank?
Hi, I've got similar one (6L/min, 70W) for my camping trailer. It's not automatically shutting off like it should. I already tried turning the top screw to adjust the pressure but it's still working constantly. Any thoughts on how to make it cut off power like it's supposed to?
looks a bit lame for 160 PSI, that's a big claim, that pressure could strip paint off wood, that looks no better than tap/faucet pressure to me and might be less, small water pumps like that have been around for decades now, go to scrap yard and take the pump out of a cars window washing system if you want low pressure pumped water for a RV shower etc like mentioned below in a comment,

But it does the job, so that's all that matters. Plus I can take this anywhere in the car and use it. Great for washing dirt off mountain bikes etc. You can't take your garden hose with you:-)

How would this work with a portable battery and using it for a river water gun fight? I wonder how far you can shoot the stream.
Thanks ordering now for the dirt bike trailer
What is the distance can you spray the water you're standing in the ground and shooting into the air?
Just ordered one 10 min ago going to mount it in tha back of my van for cleaning mountain bikes looks brilliant
Ps its only £ 16
Did you get it? My mobi pressure washer has failed and was looking at one of these to replace it
Great system. Good to see you again Steve!
totally buying this to clean my downhill bike before it goes back in the car. high street portable ones are like £200 this a bargain!
I'm lookin for my dirtbike before loading it back up
Seen it for £58,hope to be nearer half that sum, I'm in UK if you know any cheap stockists
Thanks . Perfect for washing the car
Another good review. It's always good to hear from you Steve!
Hi, thanks for the video , very instructive , by the way , can I add a 1/4 snow foam bottle at the gun to clean my car ?
Hi Parvilus Thanks. I don't know about using a foam bottle. It's probably worth a try though. Regards Steve
Would this work on transferring old engine oil from a 20ltr container to a large 1000 ltr container?
That looked more like 30psi not the 160psi claimed

Hi you could try priming the pump before turning it on by filling the inlet tube with water? Regards Steve
160. Pretty good.
I just bought it
And that top screw that should adjust the pressure does not work, so what am I supposed to do to increase its pressure
Good point
Hey Steve, thank you for this useful video, could you share how is holding up so far? Is it still working? Thank you!
Hi I don't know because I sold it some time ago.:)
Okay, if it's 160 bar, then I have 10 UFOs and titanic lying in my backyard. It hardly gigs more than 3-6 bar. 😆
Hi Henry It is 160PSI....not BAR!
Dude gets your units in order.
Wheres the proof it can even reach 160psi? I promise you it never would, or even can.
Steve, do you think it might work better if you got rid of that part of the inlet pipe that looks like it has squashed flat? It must be impeding inlet flow.
I have the same pump as yours but mine, the motor will just continuously running even when I release the nozzle spray. Why is that?
Can It pump water 10 ft. High and 20 feet long from the water tank ?
Can the water flow be adjusted to less output to prevent wastage of water?
Yes it can be adjusted by using a dc to dc voltage regulator
is it very noisy if I use inside the house?
160psi my ass you got to love those impels buys you regret ten minutes after ordering

how is the pump now because I have just ordered, still working fine?
Does the pump stop automatically or do you need to connect a on/off switch, and how do you adjust the pressure ?
If I remember rightly, it's automatic. I sold mine some time ago. They are great, being portable.
Would I be able to connect this unit to a garden activated motion sprinkler.
can this pump work on a 5200 mah battery?? Thanks ! ALso is the water pump water proof?
Can you use this pump for salt water as well for a live bait tank kind Regards Peter
Hi Peter, yes you can use it with salt water. Should be good for what you want it for.
Did you have to prime it or did it work straight Out of the box?
Mine wont draw water
Mine does not self prime which is bit of a pain.
That's a bummer, I don't think il bother, too much hassle for the end result! 🤔
the black tip that you turned on the pump is 1/2 inch or 3/4?
Just bought this kit, any idea what material the hose is? Just wondering if it's foodsafe. Thanks.
Hi I don't know. I had a look to see if it was on the listing but Banggood don't seem to sell it anymore. Regards Steve
Hi good video mate. I would like to use it as shower booster any feedback on how noisy this little pump make?

What is the brand of the pump if you dont mind me asking
Great infos, tks a lot
That would be handy to have, thanks Steve for that video
How high can it spray
Mine won't stop pumping when the tap is turned off.. (Outlet side) Any clues? What is the chrome screw for at the top? Thank you.
It is supposed to shut off when the water fills the diaphragm in the pump which pushes out and make contact with an internal switch. No pressure, no shutoff
Do the pump continuously function if u don't use the nozzle boss??

Any idea where I could get the hoses from separately and all the adapters? I already have the same pump just not the adapters and hoses, or what diameter is the hose?
EBay dude
Hey man your adapter dont have enough power to ganerate the right psi
Looks very poor I thought
How many Amps is your plug adapter sir?
This looks like a good idea to plug into a pressure washer no??
1000psi minimum for washing garden tiles
Is it still working? Wont 160psi blow garden hoses? Full mains is 50psi..
160 psi is not the output pressure, but more likely the maximum pressure the pump is able to build up. While running continuously, the working pressure is 5-15 psi at best (depending on the ID and length of the house used, I guess).

Gday Steve, nice unit mate, not to bad at all, ATB Matty
hello what is the exact size of the adapter/fittings for that hose tia
They are just ordinary garden hose fittings. I sold mine so I can't measure them. Regards Steve.
What is the size of the garden hose and connector from the water pump?
Just the normal push on hose fittings you get at garden centres etc.
Where did you get the hose fitting that goes onto the pump?
I just bought it in a local DIY store.
