As a South African young person who was involved in the Fees Must Fall student protests he's right about picking up stragglers with a nice song and good rhythm. We started with about 30 students, started marching up the way around campus all the way to the Vice Chancellor's office and I kid you not we picked up like a thousand students in the space of 30 minutes of singing and marching. People came out of their classes to see what was happening and instantly joined us
And now we get to have free education because of you guys😭. To know that it took less than 50 people to start something that would change the lives of many is amazing. And that's the power of a protest with good songs and good rhythm, amen👏🏽.
I love Trevor, miss him on the daily show!!, my son and I saw him here in Indianapolis 4 or 5 years ago and he was excellent. His book Born A Crime is amazing!
So white people are about 10% of South Africa, but at their peak (with massive colonial migration at the turn of the last century), they were once close to 25% of the population. Also, after a century of Apartheid policies (and the current neo-liberalised economy on the back of it), almost all of them are in the top 20% of the country's socio-economic strata, so as you can imagine, they still hold a central position in the South African economy, intelligentsia and body politic...and they aren't terribly used to striking...lol.
Okay. the thing is, in South Africa marches aren't marches without singing, dancing and war cries so if there isn't rhythm it becomes very hard for it to get attention at all ...google south African marches my guy, ull c its more fun compared to wah u guys do
trevor noah can leave trump alone not only is he the most intelelligent black and white on the planet there are more than 50 african heads of state that he can critisize
Vlad, always good to see you laugh. Being a member of White people, Trevor's right about protesting. Terrible rhythm. Any song or chant they do, they keep speeding it up. They go faster and faster until the whole thing just falls apart. Then they have to start all over again. It's kind of pathetic.
Then you need to see marches from South Africa by black people then you'd understand.South Africans make marching an art form.Youd want to join even if you don't know what the march is about 😂
The idea is to laugh and the audience were laughing their heads off Zuma was the Douth African President at that time u need to research before u do ur commentary u seem to know absolutely nothing about the subject matter my humble opinion
What other comedians would you want to see on the channel?
Bo Burnham!
I wish, it's hard cuz his videos get blocked always :(
