trevor twomey thanks for your feedback 😊👍 i do love my scorpion as it does sound amazing at times. I am tempted on adding the sportex backbox onto my scorpion system and see what pops i can get 😉 plus i like how its different from other sounds
@@arny105 ahhh thats a shame im getting my scorpion cat back monday But it is already decatted so was wondering if there is going to be alot in the sound change
@@mikebinns4372 the sound wont change that much in all fairness. I actually ended up making mine alot louder after removing the middle silencer and pops more aswell. With yours being just de-cat, might have a more deeper tone but thats it really.
@@ivancubillas yes bud, kept the resonator on it and only removed the backbox. Personally, i would keep the resonator on as it seemed to run smoother with that little bit of pressure in the exhaust (unless you tune it to run as a straight pipe)
I had a friend who had a MIJ cat back system and said he loved the sound of it and the installation. Had it on his car a few years but noticed when swapping to another car they missed half the welding out on one of the boxes. They did correct it with no hassle. I've headd various stories about them but that was under previous management.
@@grahamrushin4384 in all fairness, any custom exhaust specialist will (or should) be able to do that. Its like my scorpion system i've now had middle box removed and sounds a lot louder but also better.
@@grahamrushin4384 1 thing i will say, if you want to replace your cat. PLEASE replace your engine mounts first and i mean all 3. My scorpion cat has broken 3 TIMES due to it snapping on welds.
I am a sucker for the Stock one, but the Scorpion sounds good too, the Sportex sounds tinny and the pops sound like firecrackers in the exhaust.
Sportex for sure, love the old school rally kind of sound
scorpion is my personal favorite, its what i have fitted to my st170 and it sounds much deeper than the sportex system

Any drone from it at all?
Scorpion for sure
Scorpion sounds nice fairly quiet 👌
It does have a nice subtle tone with the silencer on but straight pipe that area and it purrs lovely and deep (even the odd backfire occurs)
Stock with back box mod imo is best sound. Miss my st170
Floppy Dodo yes,
andrew wright oh, well then you’ve probably don’t hear very well lol. It sounded like absolute shit
Got a full miltek system on my 170. Sounds lovely .not too loud just right
Scorpion
Run 2 😁 that's system I have
Stock for me.
The sportex sounds pants compared to the scorpion one the scorpion sounds far better in my opinion doesn't sound like you have an asbo order lol
Rear bumper show!!
💙💙💙💙
Think I prefer the sportex. I currently have one silencer removed from previous owner. Which should I go for. I’ll get whole catback system if need be
Forgot to say I want it to sound as much like a rally car. Ordering omex rev limiter soon
The Sportex would have sounded best but it needs the backbox.
What is the meshed back bumper
Focus Collection Bumper. getting harder and harder to come by
Stock nm1.
Second
Is the scorpian run with catalytic converter aswell ?
Yes mike. Its running the scorpion sports cat. But will be honest. Had nothing but problems with the sports cat.

Have you tried John Ashley Exhausts?
@@arny105 .same here no recent complaints, like the way you can choose to have standard, mid sport or full on screamer
