- How to router out the opening for a door hinge on a brand new door. I am using a Ryobi door routering jig. Very easy to do. Package comes with router bit, and jig. A great product for the tool arsenal, for all you do-it-yourselfers.

Best video I have watched on this template so far. Amazing job! Thank you!!
Excellent. At last, a video showing instruction on how to use this jig. 👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
Perfect! RYOBI should be paying you! This is by far the best explainer video for the product! WELL DONE! Thankyou!
Excelente video very helpfully
The best video of how you use this kit
Appreciate you taking the time to make this well-done and helpful video. Especially liked that you assumed nothing and explained everything. Thank you.
Great video! Helped my husband hang our son's new door. Thank you for the help!
I just bought one to try it out and did like 9 doors in like 30 min. So it basically paid for itself in 5 lol. Only thing i could think of is it doesn't have a center mark so I just took a knife and scratched one on it for 3 1/2" since that's mostly what everyone uses.
Wow! I wish I had this tool iback in 2006 when I was installing doors👍
well done 💯
Nice job and explained very well.
Excellent teaching method 👍👍👍
Thanks so much! I'm picking one of these up today. Your video is worth 10000 words! Helps so much. Blessings to you.
I did not know Arnold Schwarzenegger was so handy with household repairs!!!

Karl Ruehs 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍 you read my mind!!
Hahaha. "Get to the chopper". "Come with me if you want to live". 🤣
Very good video. Many thanks. It was extremely helpful. These are just under $30 in Australia so I don't know if it is worth the investment if only doing 1 or two doors. If you were doing lots then for sure this is the best option.
It’s worth it believe
excellent tutorial. Thanks much
Thank you 👍👍
Great demo and you good teaching skills and a calm voice, you should of been a teacher :o)
great demo mate cheers
Good job in good demostración
Very helpful video. Thanks
Vielen Dank! Es hat mir wirklich geholfen. Aber bitte in der Zukunft die Packung vorher auspacken :-)
Thanks for explanation.
very well explained thx
0:42 “If you don’t want to chisel, this is the simplest way.”
Footage of trying to open the package.
If you watch the previous 42 seconds, he is referring to getting this tool, and using it, "if you don't want to chisel"
Great the way it routes the door but that's only half of what needs to be done - what about the door frame?
Good question. I think they thought about this more for people to replace just the door in an existing frame.
how do you do the hinge on the wall side of the frame. cant see how that fixes to the frame
No se mucho inglés pero te entendí!!😎🤝
Thumbs up. Thx
Thank you. great help.
Excellent video........I'm getting ready to cut now!!
Excelente amigo dónde podré encontrar, por favor
I route them freehand right to the edge. They cme out perfect and you can get vey fast at them.
you must be an artist, not everybody can do that!
Its easier than setting a jig up
New toy for kids shop
it isnt new
Nice music
I’m doing good thanks for asking
alot quicker to just zero out your plunge router and then set one of your rotating depth stops to the hinge thickness
i Want one
5:23 how did the radius corner get back in?
Just plug it in!?
It always will, as a router bit is circular
Its all great but now how do you do the cut on the wall door hinge?
That's already cut. Your buying a slab to match with the current door frame.
@@GameOver321 old doors two hinges new doors three hinges ,but two should be ok ?
Wot a palaver free hand all day
Another artist, precision worker eh?
It took you 2 mins to even get the thing out of the packet could of done it by hand
Routering with a router..who would have guessed?
I used one of these 10 years. VERY DANGEROUS. THE ROUTER BIT CAN HIT THE PLASTIC AND BOUNCE BACK. It put a hole in my face.
So what? Make a video and show it to us!
Routers are always dangerous. It’s not this device, but the router that needs to be used with care.
I guess it wasn't your day! Lol
Thanks for sharing that experience. Will keep in mind to be careful.
Where did you buy this?
Sure, i got it from the HomeDepot
It was working great btw!
I checked a lot of handbooks with woodworking plans. Instructions from woodprix are the best I think.
Chewning Witmer
Will that ryobi template work on the framing as well?
Jerry D not that I know of.
hinge needed a flip
Good observation!

Too slow
LOL
The first 2 mins are getting it out of the packet ffs
Takes literally 5 mins to knock up a custom hinge routing template from scraps - easiest jig there is to make, a 12 year old can make one and its better and a lot less fuss and cost than that piece of junk
If you are so good at this, why not make a video and share it with us? I looked at your channel, and you didn't post any videos of your own yet!? How come?
I made up a jig to route the door and jamb at the same time. Or each individually. With 3 hinges
@@mygiguser how old are you 5,?
This jig works great,i had zero experience working wood doors, and yet it was so easy and quick.
Edit out the dead space if you want Subs there brother
