Y'know, if it weren't for all the LGBT identity moments in Chikn Nuggit, I would've never attempted to learn or question my identity out of fear of how others will judge me.
But with all of the Chikn Nuggit messages about being yourself and not having to answer anyone who questions identity has really helped me actually comfortable at the idea of exploring my identity in the first place. I’m pansexual, so is my sister, and my brother is bi. We have lots of loving friends and family who don’t treat us differently for our sexuality. There are loving people out there who will love you no matter your sexual orientation. There are also people out there who don’t immediately accept you for who you are, I’ve experienced first-hand, but sometimes those people may be hiding feelings of their own and they just simply don’t know how to express them yet.
For the sake of your well-being, don’t mind the people who target and harass others who are different from them. Surround yourself with people who will accept you, no matter your sexual orientation, and remember there are people who recognize and respect you, no matter what month of the year it is. Keep on trucking.
