If I am paying a subscription and i have less money in the account balance than the actual subscription amount, will it use the subscription then the remaining will be spent from the card?

Every time I tried making a purchase from the App Store with my debit card I get a error saying "to avoid interruptions to your subscriptions and purchases, verify your payment information or add a new payment" I added numerous payment methods and keep getting the same error. So I went and bought a gift card added $100 to my apple account the money is available in credit on my account but I'm still getting this error any ideas how to fix this problem?

My default payment method is my Apple ID credit/balance and when I try to make in-game purchases it declines and says it couldn’t charge my payment method. I tried to spend 5$ then 1$. I have 7$
I got 27 dollars on my balance but it just doesn’t let me switch to it only lets me use the card that’s on the phone and it won’t even let me remove that card

To remove card open settings and click on your name then click on subscription cancel all subscription you made with the card then you can go back and remove the card.

If you are trying to buy something from a website, it doesn't work. If you try on an app or game, it automatically uses the apple balance even if it asks for your credit card

@@relicx6110 I found out what. You need to add a credit card or if you have a visa giftcard, even with no money it works and makes it so you can use your apple id balance. Then you can buy anything

Rename the title to how transfer money from your credit card to your apple account. I did this method and took money away from the card i put in and now I cant use the money i redeemed in addition to the money i was able to use before.
