    Is the plate actually etched or just scratched?

      Yes. Just scratched. That's what makes it "drypoint" vs an etching. Makes a softer line quality. Plus I haven't learned to use the chemistry for etching baths 🙂

      @@dabbleseattle9258 thanks! I did chemical etching years ago but am learning some dryppoint and collograph. I thought dryppoint was usually on plastic plates.

      @@therestlessknitter4290 Yes, It can be done on plastic plates as well! A more economical alternative.
