Well that's especially true for soe lin oo, he might be the most durable fighter in the history of lethwei. They do have flaws though, lethwei fighters may have durability but they lack the technique of a complete fighter, so they lose more in decision based combat sport.
@@zawgyi4468 The reason for that is because in Burmese Letwei style they are trained to fight bare knuckles with only a handwrap where they can grabbed their opponent & headbutt them & use elbow strikes at close quarter. With boxing gloves they have to alter their style to fight at a distance & pace they are not accustomed to. I believe that might change overtime.
@@davidbatin1699 The sad truth is new gen lethwei fighters know about 50% lethwei and they are using like 30% in the ring while Muay Thai and Kun khmer fighters know 100% their arts and use at least 70% in the ring. Due to genocide, endless civil war, lack of employment and education, it's safe to say that we no longer have full time lethwei fighters. They will work as a farmer for 4 months, construction worker for 4 months and lethwei fighters for 4 months compare to full time athletes in thailand an combodia. So called lethwei coaches, trainers have no idea about proper lethwei techniques, timing , game plan , balance , cutting angles , clinch , fight IQ , etc, they know some basic punching and they think they know lethwei, that became a big problem. Real lethwei technicians left the ring as they can't make a living out of it and most became businessmen. While other government support their national sports, Burmese millitary gangster is busy killing his own people , burning down the whole village, selling our natural resources to china. I am even surprise lethwei still exist to these days, thanks to Southern Myanmar karen, Mon and Dawei people , lethwei is still alive to these days. They are mostly farmers and amateur lethwei fighters , some of them became top fighters. Lethwei fighters got heart, i give them that, they have do or die attitude while competing as they are trying to survive. For Thai or khmer fighters, a win is just a win , for most lethwei fighters , it's mean survival , a meal for family, extension of life for few days. So when you compare lethwei with famous MT , kindly consider those facts too. Thanks for supporting lethwei. :)
