I bought it, it's a lot of fun, but I rarely survive a map (but usually inflict good damage at least to a few ships) -- it has less health and armor than a Tier 6 Cleveland, and 14 5 inch guns broadside. The problem is the 11 (or 13)km, range, and the slow shell speed. It's basically firing 3 DD worth of 5 inch guns at a time. That being said, it's still fun, has really short range torpedoes (4.5lm) but I've managed to surprise one DD with it for a kill.
Baron yesterday i whent on a field trip to one of my countrys biggest naval bases and we where able to enter a submarine(non-nuclear so its small) and a frigate(i dont know if that is what americans call it) and we where seeing the frigate and whend we get to the side i saw 1 triple torpedo launch tube and I immediately thought to my self"man,Baron would have loved to see this"
Artemis Fowl i didnt see any destroyers they where all out at sea but the Frigates i think are similar the oliver hazard perry but they are made in germany so i dont know if the models are the same class they do have a 2 lynx heli on the back i dont know if US frigates also carrie 2 helis I also saw a par of corvetts that i think are also pretty similar to your frigates

I wish this game would let you name the battleships as well customize the load out of weapons on the battleships themselves. Also it should let you make customized flags to sail with.
it's a historical game, there is a game like that though called ultimate admiral Dreadnoughts, you command the fleet as a whole though, not just one ship
you should do a custom game where on one team everyone except for 2 people are carriers and the two that aren't carriers are battleships vs a regular style team and see who wins
I know this is from the beta but nowadays the way to get to the top of the damage pile in Atlantas is to burn your way there. I never shoot anything with AP except other cruisers sometimes. You get way more damage burning them to the waterline. :D I treat any gun 6" or smaller that way. Works well and the fires are pretty. ;p
Vibrating Dolphin the Torps are kinda trash on Americoon cruisers and DD's, but as of now the Torps on Japan ships in some tiers are total OP level 9000...
Vibrating Dolphin Hardly OP. Sure, it's got a metric shit-ton of guns but they are 5"ers and don't do as much damage (individually) as you'd think. You really *need* to lay as many guns on target as possible to be effective and therein lies one of it's strengths *AND* one of it's weaknesses - the ability put shots down range that can and do cause multiple crits, citadel hits and fires but in doing so makes you a large target. Which brings me to the armour..........ok, next subject XD. Seriously though the Atlanta's armour is negligible and she is going to get penetrated pretty easily and often....uhhh, ok, you know what I mean, don't be vulgar 8P Her torps are very situational considering the rather laughable 4.5 km range. not entirely useless though. The other strength is it's maneuverability but since it's equal to other US cruisers of it's tier it's not really that big a deal. OP? No, not at all. A Cleveland skipper even half awake will rip the Atlanta a new one. I have played and faced the Atlanta many times, torn it up and had my teeth kicked in by it almost as many and can say with confidence that the Atlanta is a well balanced cruiser. She is well worth the gold.

I bought the Atlanta and it was the biggest mistake I ever made. For what I paid this is a POS as far as premium Ships go. A also bought the Atago. Now that's an awesome ship to play.
+Will ToSurvive If you actually have American Cruisers with Advanced Firing Training, the Atlanta will be the king of close range. That skill extends the range to 13.3km, and you can shred everything inside that range with HE.
The problem is you can't get that close. Just a few hits from anything destroys it. I came up on the back side of a Cleveland firing the other way. At close range I put 126 shells into it for less then half damage. The Cleve had time to turn its guns and one blast killed me. I used it for about a month with the same crap over and over. I sold it. Not worth it.
Will ToSurvive If you're less than 7km away, use AP against Cruisers, I've gotten 9 citadels from 2 salvos against Pensacolas. It's made for hunting DDs, but it can stand its own 1v1 against cruisers if you constantly maneuver use torps to keep them on edge.

Arleran so how do they AA? cause yes, that's the same guns, there are no bdouble batteries looking at the sky x) though there was no example in the video
the animation show you shoot above when you actually shoot cannon toward the ships, hard to see if you don't turn on your effect to at least medium and turn on animate small object

Ironic that the Atlanta class was not effective at ship-to-ship combat. Both times ships of that class were involved in ship-to-ship combat they were sunk. 0-2 doesn't sound like premium quality to me.

Also, I wouldn't use AP rounds. They will pretty much bounce off of everything. (due to only being 5 inch destroyer guns)

For it took 2 days 2x8 hours and normally i have 6-7mb/s and i have a fast pc but the launcher only used 50kb/s
